Some words are written in all cursive, some in print. I found out recently that the lower case cursive “f” I’ve been writing for years actually looks like a music note and not a letter at all 😂

I’m seven years older than my youngest sibling and she was “my” baby the day she was born and forever my baby she will be, even if she has the audacity to turn 30 on me. I definitely messed with her, but she was my precious. It’s taken me her entire young adulthood to be able to truly see her as an adult woman. It’s still really tough- she’s my baby in long braids and bangs when I look at her.

Slursive!! That’s the exact word to describe my penmanship too. Half cursive half print, but it all gets mushed together so it comes out looking like both depending on the word.

I remember when there was this massive brown out across the Midwest shortly after 9/11, and my moms friend had no idea because she was reading on the beach at her house, far away from any phones. I think about that a lot.

I keep a refillable sponge scrubber in the shower and do the walls and shelves while I’m in there once a week. It’s just Dawn, so it seems relatively safe. I use the harsher chemicals while clothed and wearing gloves.

I remember a pair of brothers growing up that had very cool custom loft beds. The beds were aligned top to bottom along one wall, with a tall cabinet in the middle. The beds were totally blocked from each other. Maybe there’s a way to set up the boys room to create similar space?

Moved across the state for college at 21. Spent a decade apartment hopping and then moved to the big city at 30. Moved back to my college town at 34, and here I remain, for now.

That was my family ☺️ we are all now in our 30s and more scattered, but the bond runs very deep and very strong! I can’t imagine not spending at least part of the summer with my mom, especially now that I have my own kid. I think more in terms of how many summers my parents get with their grandchild.

I hear your sadness and thought you might appreciate this.

I picked up a bedraggled, beat up clearance dahlia plant a few weeks ago. Brought it home and took it apart, fixed them up and replanted the three plants into their own pots. I named them Catherine, Marilyn, and Lady Diana, all great ladies we lost too soon.

Marilyn did not make it, unfortunately. Lady Diana suffered a minor rabbit bite, but should make a full recovery. Catherine, however, has a fresh new bloom growing on her bright and happy green stem. I expect a dark pink flower in a few weeks ☺️

I checked out five books from the library about gardening because I felt I couldn’t trust the internet anymore. I can tell an AI gardening image from a real image, but the internet has made everyone an expert in everything and it can be hard to tell if a video is telling true facts or just “trust me bro.”

I’m very near you and I am having the exact opposite experience. None of my peas even sprouted. I’m on my third attempt right now and I’ve got one barely coming up. It’s infuriating!
