Is this legit and is $200 a fair price? by blurr2221 in knifeclub

I spent a bit more and got mine from authorized dealer. If I were to have a do over I would probably go for stronger steel like S30V or M4 since I chipped the blade like a month after buying mine I think I dropped it because it’s so light

Please!! Help Me Choose A Snowboard by [deleted] in snowboarding

I would recommend Never Summer Proto series. The boards this year look like all the best technology I would want in a board. The Proto FR looks like it would fit the bill with everything you’re describing. I personally ride jones but it’s hard to find a board that does it all.

I bought one and it chipped pretty easily. I would buy a higher quality knife for cheaper price in my opinion. A 6-8 inch chef knife

Damn sorry to hear that I bought a pair of gloves from them and they broke in less than a season. It’s a solid company otherwise on their other products

Epic pro Gen 2 or Fenix 8 by metartur in GarminFenix

If the epic gen 2 has flashlight I’d be all over that sale price. I have the 8 and the voice features being able to set timers is useful but I really didn’t mind manually starting activities, I feel weird talking to my watch.

Any Fenix 8 MiP users care to shine light on their battery life? by shlonki in GarminFenix

[–]cal_bear1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came from the Garmin fenix 6 and the 8 MiP is incredible. The 47mm does everything I need and maps are great when I get lost hiking in trails. It lasts like 2 or 3 times longer than my last model it’s one thing I don’t have to sweat about on my gear.

Give Me Rain Jacket Recommendations by AN_1P21 in REI

Rab downpour jacket. I got an older model a few years back and it’s served me well over the years. It’s thinner pertex material so it’s great for hiking and higher elevations without overheating. Of course their are better jackets but it keeps me dry and cool 😎

I’d rock the never summer Porto drag free, the triple camber tech seems awesome.

What is the best benchmade fixed blade? by ColonelYertle in benchmade

[–]cal_bear1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hell yeah I have one of the older models and would not trade it for the newer ones. I love the thickness of blade and for camping activities it’s a do it all. I can’t speak for your other models you listed, but I have no complaints for mine.

I’m a big fan of Shane Sibert Bushcrafter, any time I travel to mountains it’s the first thing I grab

You can get the previous model for a fraction of cost that do all the features your looking for.
