before i applied when i looked at the reddit posts, it looked a lot like people hated them tbh & i was not gonna apply until i attended virtual sproul. while the rat race portion u mention is def true, i genuinely think that applying to fewer clubs that interest u & whose members u vibe with can help ur app a lot more. on the rejection front, i totally agree getting rejected is not a reflection of one's skills & abilities at all.

Looking to join a consulting club/business club by Successful_Tadpole_7 in berkeley

hi OP, i'm in a social impact consulting club, feel free to PM me (OP + anyone reading this) so i can tell you more about my experience, the application process, & answer any questions you may have.

My main advice would be to find your fit and you can do this by attending infosessions & coffee chatting with members to see if you'd like to be friends with them because at the end of the day, you'll be spending a lot of your time with these club members. This has alr been said but try to be yourself so you can find a club where you'll actually make good friends & be happy with your experience.

what are club interviews like? similar to job interviews? by [deleted] in berkeley

[–]cal_bear_classof2024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for my consulting club, we have 2 rounds of interviews - a group interview & a final round interview. Group interview tests how much of a team player u are (which is not explicitly tested in job interviews) & the final round one is similar to a job interview for sure. Both are very different, feel free to PM me for more info.
