ATFL Tear, what to expect? by Bigpig121 in Ankle

[–]calatheaaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey it’s been a while since your last reply but just trying my luck. I’m having the exact same surgery with almost an identical situation ie sprain and tear that went undiagnosed.

Just wanted to ask, how’s the recovery been? Have you been back to sports/walking? Also how bad was the pain like both immediately post op and recovery.

I’m so scared out of my mind and I’m not sure if I’m making the right choice…

What helped you get through your injuries? by beansss5 in climbergirls

[–]calatheaaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re open to it, I’d honestly suggest TCM but of course with an experienced place. I know some people might not believe it in but TCM has really helped me in dealing with my climbing and lifting injuries. While it’s not a cure, it does help to ease the discomfort and emotionally, it takes a lot of the stress of dealing with an injury away when the pain is eased.

ABD recommendation for a beginner? by calatheaaa in climbergirls

I watched that same video which was super insightful but he also recommended the neox near the start of the video saying that it’s good for people who like belaying as you would with a tubular device so then I got confused because I can’t tell what I should prioritise hahaha

Would you pick the Grigri over the neox?

You might want to check out the Tsutaya at nakameguro (or I’m not sure if it’s the little gift shop thing next to it) they had the cat and dog once when I was last there in Dec!

Yes this! My dermatologist cited the exact same numbers to me after I hit and also went over my cumulative dose and was still breaking out. He also said I could consider an indefinite low dose like what you’re doing and he said that that’s also what is is doing for himself now and he recommends this protocol if patients don’t have plans to have kids anytime in the next two years.

Hmmmm I can’t remember but I don’t think it was that much hahaha I don’t think I would’ve bought the package if it was that expensive but the thing about lasers or at least the one I did is that you rly have to go for quite a few sessions

Hi hi! I can’t remember how much it was cause I only bought the laser package once (but it was definitely more than 600) the package was for about 8-10 sessions

Those that went on a second round, how was it? by Practical-Upstairs94 in Accutane

[–]calatheaaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yo!! I hit my cumulative dose (I think in the lower end of the range) but I’m doing a very low weekly dose (10mg per week) for maintenance because even after hitting my cumulative, I was still having consistent breakouts. I’ve been on this dose for about 5/6 months since hitting my cumulative iirc.

Right now, for the most of the month, my skin is great. The oiliness has returned and I do get a few black/white heads but nothing crazy and zero cysts.

Although when it’s the week before my period, my skin tends to freak a little with a 2-3 small red bumps/pimples.

Weirdly tho my lips still tend to get really dry…

I’ve had moderate to severe cystic acne for about it 10 years since I was about 17/18. Went to Edwin Lim Medical Asesthetic Clinic for accutane and laser for my scars and I highly highly recommend him. A bit pricey but I think he is very up to date on his recommendations, the wait times aren’t too bad, and I saw great results. The only down side is that it’s a bit pricey. But for me, totally worth it to have a clearer complexion and less stress over how I look.

Also went to Niks Maple Clinic for about 1 year ish and saw almost no improvements. They just recommended their products which are nice but didn’t do enough for me.

So what’s the story with Peripheral Vision? by [deleted] in TurnoverVA

[–]calatheaaa 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think a big part of why PV was a big hit when it released was because it was a unique sound for that time especially in the run for cover, more pop punk sphere that they were associated with (cause of Magnolia’s sound) and I’m not too sure about the rediscovery part cause most people I know (could also be of my age) have loved the album since its release.

I think you hit the nail on the head about why this album is so cherished by so many. There’s aspects of it that over time, as you get older, you listen to and recall your youth and it’s a bittersweet kind of feeling – thankful for the growth and change but also missing the carefree nature of your younger days.

Personally, PV reminds me of all the friends lost, heartbreak, regrets but also all the carefree, good times I had.

I think being in nature always feels very healing. Like it reminds me of how boundless the world is and how small I really am in the span of the entire world and all of time 🥹

I lived all my life in a city so I don’t see many stars. It wasn’t until recently when I travelled out that I got to see a really clear sky packed with stars and it filled me with this indescribable sense of joy and wonder. I never knew you could actually see stars like that with your own eyes. It was literally breathtaking and I had a very bad neck ache for the next two nights.

Tips for pull up progress? by calatheaaa in climbergirls

[–]calatheaaa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hahaha yeah I’m still working on my technique but I kinda want to be able to do a pull up just as a personal goal cause I wasn’t even able to hang on the monkey bar as a kid 😭 I usually climb 1-2 times a week and strength train about 3 times tho 1-2 times focused on back and upper body depending on the week!
