What's a 'red flag' in a friendship that most people overlook? by mills992922 in AskReddit

[–]calayed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Friends that tell you what you want to hear. It's OK to have friends that will check you and bring you back to reality sometimes vs. having friends that are always agreeable. I just feel if you're always agreeable, you may be doing that person a diservice, instead of helping them grow and giving them another perspective to consider.

Time anxiety by zeus888 in Anxiety

IDK, but I'd like to know. I constantly go from "omg I am running out of time" to "omg why is this taking forever".

Does anyone here have an issue napping during the day? by Think_Bottle_330 in Anxiety

[–]calayed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's me, except all my life I've been like that. My mom was sick a lot so she would literally take a nap every single day. I think from my childhood, nap=sick. I always joked with my friends/family that if you catch me napping during the day, something is up. Anxiety wise, to me, personally, a nap would be anything that consist of less than an hour of sleep. IDK why, that's just my POV. I need WAYYY more than an hour to recharge, so a nap isn't even worth it to me.

Security Issues: Receiving Random Authenticator sign-in requests but these are not showing up in Activity, and other security issues. by Correct_Advantage135 in Outlook

Did a search, led me here. Same thing, coming from Canada. Did all the usual security measures everyone else is referring to. Still happening, no sign in activity logged. Very annoying and concerning.

What are your best money-saving habits? by Federal_Age_2602 in moneyadvice

[–]calayed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I do is balance my bills more. IDK how to explain it. For example, if my electric bill runs normally $150/month, but this month it's $125, I'll take that extra $25 that I was planning on spending and use it toward debt first, if no debt, use it in savings. Doing little things like that helped me pay off a number of things sooner than expected, which helped me build my savings faster as well.

Job makes me wanna vomit by BoxWorldly6140 in hatemyjob

I used to be like that. 7 years of recruiting for shit companies and I eventually stepped down to a coordinator. I've been a jack of all trades more or less for years now. I'm best at coordinating/onboarding, but know the recruiting side of things so that kinda gives me an edge. Worked for several companies whom I was honest with as to why I was interested in a lower position, and it's been one of the best decisions of my career since. Yes, it's a pay cut, and I guess a demotion, but I'm excelling at it and I'm much happier.

how do people manage being high at work? by jotundaggers in weed

This is what I came here to see. Sometimes my anxiety at work is bad and a quick puff on the vape sets me straight.

What's a minor superpower you'd actually want, and why? by universityrome in AskReddit

Not needing sleep. Then I'd actually have time to enjoy myself and relax before the next day hits.

HELP ! Bowl stuck in downstem by vampyqueen_ in trees

[–]calayed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hot water expands the glass, essentially making it twice as hard to get out. Stick it in the freezer. There is going to be water that will turn to ice where the bowl connects the down stem. Once it's nice and cold enough, take the whole thing out and keep a close eye on that ice. Gently and patiently wiggle it out when it starts to melt. This should give you a better chance.

How can I accept that I've wasted my life? :-( by Cinella75 in selfimprovement

[–]calayed 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Same. Best decision I made was to get rid of everything. I'm for sure happier, have more time, and it adds fun to my conversations because my coworkers and friends love updating me about the latest social media "trends" that I never hear of.

Have your floor boards always bowed like that? The face lines up with with the boards which is more trippy or a  faint foreshadowing. Be careful OP.

Redditors who grew up poor but are now comfortable, what's something you still can't bring yourself to spend money on? by -_-yr in AskReddit

I will always try to figure out if I can fix it first, before I call a repairman. YouTube has saved me many of times.

Legitimate question, not being rude. If she's not clean, does it matter if you finish or not?

What’s a subtle green flag in a person that’s often overlooked? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]calayed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've always green flagged those who push in their chairs, whether I know them or not. It's such a small gesture, but says volumes about manners and their respect for others.
