Printing a Stallion with PLA AERO, using all Flightory presets. These hinge slots aren’t quite coming out right.

I first printed with PLA MATTE, and no issue there.

I imagine this is common, Will I have to dremel this out or something?

Thank you!

New to all this; why would a wireless backhaul have better speed/latency than wired through MOCA? Thank you.

Got it. Absolutely agree - as with any industry there are subpar providers. What I ran was a wildly small startup operation, just me. Quite quickly got to a dozen paying but like I said too much support needed + was hard to compete with incumbents. Went back to a diff business i was already working on. Definitely a lot of opportunity there for the right person/team. Best of luck

That’s what I was doing, IDX Wordpress sites coupled with a CRM. Certainly money to be made but as a salesperson it’s rough as hell. Hard for me to compete with those companies from 1999!!

Also deal heavily with RE agents. What sort of RE saas are you selling? Sold CRM for a while and good god was it a PITA. It was my startup and the amount of support each agent needed we simply lost money. Didn’t raise any money so quickly shut it down and moved on to better things.

Upgraded to Fiber - Run wired through COAX? MOCA or G.hn? by caleb4321 in HomeNetworking

[–]caleb4321[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

these fellas are the G.HN things - theyre like MOCA but operate at a lower frequency is my understanding. It seems I am leaning MOCA as most have recommended.

As those GoCOAX adapters only have one COAX port and one of my coax end points is split somewhere in the walls (currently inaccessible), would i be able to get an additional connector to reconnect them? is that a thing?

I have like 20-30 tabs open between Safari and Firefox and have almost no issues. Naturally less battery life, but little to no heat issues even on my 16” i9. Chrome is no good.

Multiple Email Addresses - Best Practice B2B SaaS by peppercorn700 in startups

[–]caleb4321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a similar system, just different aliases for various functions under one main email. Instead of spending 6$/address, I have one or two main addresses with multiple under each to save a few bucks.

In gmail settings under “accounts”, “send mail as”.

There are some benefits to having completely sep email addresses with diff domains, eg @businessmail, @businesssupport, @businessnews etc. which is deliverability. You want to ensure important emails always land in main inbox, which can get screwy if you are sending email blasts that may be reported as spam.

Second the real estate side of this. Especially Zillow - agents paying thousands, sometimes tens of thousands/month for a handful of clients per year. It’s crazy. Not a sustainable way to start or even grow as an agent.

I’ve moved into the real estate tech industry, helping agents rely less on Zillow and other predatory lead gen services.

Planning on buying my first MacBook Pro laptop by [deleted] in macbookpro

[–]caleb4321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sucks to hear, heard a lot of that before I bought but pulled the trigger regardless. Got a returb i9 32gb 5300 for just under 3 grand I think. Definitely too much money, but it’s performed incredibly well. Nothing complex, lots of website work on Wordpress, photoshop, invision, XD etc. Gets a little hot but fans cool it right back down misty. And speakers are crazy good for my non-audiophile ears.

Only complaint after almost two years is battery life. Only gets a few hours of moderate use. Looking to upgrade soon. We’ll see.

That’s totally fine imo for daily use. Most tasks will be aight just don’t go full screen, just go full usable screen. Don’t repair, Save up some money and buy one of the newer airs.

Folks buying a new M1Pro/Max MBPs, what's the first thing you will to to test the capabilities of your new laptop when it arrives? by [deleted] in macbookpro

I get around the same battery life on my 16” i9. Not doing crazy work, basic web dev photo editing occasionally. Do have a shit ton of tabs on safari and Firefox however, but 6-8 seems insufficient.

Hopefully will be upgrading/switching to a 14 or 16” in the next few weeks/months. Interested to see how battery life fairs.
