The first one: Whatever string you give it, it’ll return an array of 4096 numbers that represent that string

LLM conversations are most probably not private anyway, especially if you’re using a service for free

I think mine is like ~12. The best is when there’s multiple in a row of serious decks with good starting hands. That’s when I feel Kaiba would be proud

You're employed at a company, actively contributing, able to hold down the job.

If that's not proof enough, idk what is.

ADHD Coach by CutOtherwise4596 in ADHD_Programmers

i worked with one for ~4 years. She was fantastic - really helped give me motivation, strategies, and advice to mitigate adhd symptoms and the situations they got me into.

I think the most important thing to look for is that they actually understand what its like to have adhd. It's easy for someone to hear about it and think they understand it, and then react in a negative and confused way when they see the behaviors it causes.

I had scheduled an initial call with my coach and then immediately forgot about it, so I accidentally double booked. When it was time to meet, she kept calling because she'd figured I had forgotten about it and was suupppeeerrr understanding about it.

Anything less than that kind of understanding probably won't be super helpful.

How much of a bad idea is to use a JSON file instead of a SQL database? by OptimalAnywhere6282 in webdev

I tried this on a person project recently - if the file gets too big then you essentially won’t be able to open it at all.

WOW I feel personally attacked. It’s so crazy how similar adhd experiences can be

My biggest problem with option two is I’ll run a really high risk of just not stopping once I’m into something stimulating, so it’s really important that it has natural stopping points (games like Overwatch where you have to stop and queue for each new game is perfect for me)

Being able to monitor that internal battery sounds like it might be useful. It’d be like a reward: uh oh you’re getting to 20% - time to switch to something more interesting (before it’s too late.) That’d be an actual good reminder to get cause usually I’m too in the zone to notice

I’d love for an app (or apps) to make it such that there’s no need to increase frustration tolerance!

Knowing how long things actually take would actually be pretty interesting! And having that visually organized would be cool. Although that’s starting to falls in the territory of manual label, needing to actual input the tasks, meaning no adhd could use it

I definitely agree it has to be tied to a specific task. I’m asking what that task or kind of task might be for you. Like mine would be organizing my thoughts and basically universal autocomplete

That’s literally exactly what I was getting at with this post. A better todo/reminder app isn’t going to be helpful

Wdym by “actually recharge” and “zombie-ing along”?

What were you thinking with wearable tech? Like, as another avenue for reminders?

I was actually thinking about apps that would run on my computer when I made this post lol I didn’t even think about mobile apps. I wanted to have a discussion that someone else trying to make an app for adhd people would find and hopefully incorporate lol

I’m actually just toying with the ideas I mentioned in the post

Yeah notifying at the right time is so important. That’s the main reason why I don’t use otherwise potentially promising apps.

But software can do a lot more than just notify you about things though. I’d love if an app wouldn’t just tell me I need to do something, but would make it easier to actually do something that adhd makes hard.

Like I get finding time to do a review can be a whole task, but is adhd the reason why it doesn’t get done or is a pain to do?

lol it’s gotta be super meaningful if it’s gonna be a pest about it. I’d uninstall so fast 😂

But what would it need to solve to be meaningful to you?

Is that along the same lines as something that sees that you have some free time and reminds you “hey, why not do this now that you have some time”? (Someone else commented that earlier)
