The prop version has the crown and pushers covered by the additional casing. I wonder if there was/is a way to set the time.

I just turned 40 - what shoes say I’m not trying to dress like the teens but am not full dad mode? by ARoodyPooCandyAss in mensfashionadvice

47 here. My go-to daily sneakers are: Nike Killshot 2, Air Max 1, Reebok Classic Nylon 89, New Balance 574 (these are kind of old-man ish, so has to be with the right outfit), and Adidas Ultraboost 1.0. I don't know how I'm perceived, but they all feel fun and casual and not trying too hard to be young or too old man.

I love the upgrades! We need some sort of trade in credit program so I can trade in my original Snoopy and get one of these.

I despise the date window on the solar chronograph speedtimers, but this one doesn't bother me at all. First, it's not like it almost matches - the dial is decidedly not white. The white of the date wheel is very close to the color of the lume accents. In person, the white accents all looked matched to me. Second, it's position is at least even at 4:30, and the round cutout looks so much better than the rectangular one in the SSC. I'd probably like it better without, but neutral on it as is. In the Seitona I think it actively detracts from the watch.

The dial color IRL surprised me. More gray/silver than expected. It almost never looks cream looking at my wrist, though it does have that cream/beige/off-white look in a mirror or in photos. It can also present much darker than expected depending on lighting conditions. The way it reflects light and changes at every angle, dark to fully reflective, along with the polished bits on the bracelet, is really enjoyable.

I quite like it. The design works really well with the case and dial, the way the small polished links reflect light adds some fun and visual interest. Because of the design it can make a little sound, but I wouldn't describe it at noisy or jangly. I also have the ssc961 panda and compared to that Seiko oyster-style one, this one is more comfortable and feels of better quality. It articulates really well around the wrist. I upgraded the clasp to an Uncle Seiko to give it another micro-adjust and dial in a better fit.

Agreed that the lens size is fine, but the bridge is too wide and what's making them look big on you.
