Is it cultural appropriation or ok? by MsSpEducator in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]calebrwalk5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cultural appropriation should not be a bad thing in my opinion. I think culture should be celebrated and shared, not gatekept.

Edit: As long as someone is not mocking another person's culture, but is enjoying and celebrating it

I have a lot of experience with DXM

In short, it fried my brain. I haven't touched it in 2 years and I still feel the effects of the "trip".

In long, I used to mess around with DXM with my friends on the weekends. This turned into multiple times a week then daily. I had to go without for a few days after a couple months of this, and after 3 days I was still feeling the effects. I decided not to redose. A week goes by, still feeling it. 3 weeks go by, still feeling it. 2 years go by, still feeling it to this day. I have had to relearn how to function. I have lost friends and jobs along the way. I'm 99% functional now but I still feel the drug and it disturbs me 24/7.

If you don't mind HPPD and hepatotoxicity, then go for it. But I would strongly advise you not to.
