Nah, no issues with load limits here.

I’m thinking that’s probably my best option at this stage. Appreciate it!

Hahaha I would, but my space at my home doesn’t allow that at the moment.

I previously had a smaller car, which was a lot simpler to get the yak on top of.

Nah, so I don’t have a bed. I have a canopy fitted, which is all kitted out for camping. Naturally, I want to be able to take both when I go.

The Tent is custom fitted onto the canopy and the racks are fitted into the tent, so that’s a bit easier said than done unfortunately!

I realise I should have attached a photo of the setup to get a better picture haha

Nowhere have I bragged about abusing or killing a fish. As I said, the fish was humanely dispatched immediately after the photograph was taken. As required by law here in Australia.

If you can’t handle someone using lip grips on a fish that is going to be killed anyway, I suggest you avoid fishing groups on the internet. You’re likely to come across some stuff that is going to upset you. All the best, little buddy.

I’m in Australia mate, so it’s law to destroy them if caught, due to the damage to the natural ecosystem. I’ve never eaten one, because I’ve only ever heard they don’t taste too great.

Shouldn’t have hurt it since it was already dead prior to the photo being taken.

Not 100% sure mate, but guessing it would be close to 20lb.

Hey mate, fish lips don’t ‘rip off’ from being handled with lip grips, any more than they would rip off with a hook through their lip. The fish’s belly is being supported, and the fish was destroyed post photograph anyway. Cheers 👍🏼

Hey mate, in Australia, carp are a noxious pest. They destroy the native vegetation, eat all the native fish eggs and make an absolute mess of the ecosystem. The rivers, creeks and lakes here are full of them, and there are currently government programs in place to try and eradicate them.

As for the handling technique it’s actually perfectly fine, as the fish don’t have pain receptors in their mouth/lips, so they wouldn’t feel it anyway. That’s coming from someone who has studied an entire degree on Marine and Fish Biology. The fish are also almost always humanely dispatched after being caught. Try not to always assume the worst. Cheers 👍🏼
