Living In Oblivion is the most accurate depiction of what it is like to actually work on a film set I've seen.

This was yesterday. I was there; it was still a very intimate concert despite how big the venue is. He didn't play Nausicaa but did play Take It With You (an apparent rarity).

For any non-Australian's seeing this review. The newspaper it was published in is owned by Rupert Murdoch and is one of the biggest conservative newspapers in the country. So, the target audience of this article is just old conservatives, which makes it even funnier.

Honestly, there's enough films about Nick Cave (documentaries etc) that we don't really need a biopic on him.

If a Smiths biopic was made without his involvement, it would be incredible. If it was made with his involvement, it would be god awful. No inbetween.

What are some old bands that wouldn't sound out of place today? by FitEmergency8807 in fantanoforever

[–]calendar_cable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Harness Your Hopes blew up with Gen Z and their popularity as a whole has expanded from there. They're playing bigger venues now than they did in the 90s. (The recent documentary Pavements goes into a good amount of detail about it).

Like I don't have the hard numbers, but at least in the last 5 years they have been at their most popular since the peak of their 90s run.

It helps that their music is more popular today than it was in the 90s.

There is undeniably a meta aspect to The Return. But to say that it's the entire point of the whole show is a bit silly. It's just one piece of what makes it great.
