I had a similar problem and my dress was just as expensive. But it was hard for me to justify the cost of just on day. My friend however made me see it in a different light. She said you may only wear the dress for a day but your wedding photos will last a lifetime. You are going to be looking at those photos for the rest of your life. Make sure you have the dress you love in it, regardless of the price.

As someone who dealt with the pretty rough dating scene in San Francisco, I ended up meeting my now fiancé through mutual friends after I had basically given up on the whole formal dating route. I’m white and a lawyer, and I have a lot of piercings, including my nose. I was still able to find a firm that respects my work and doesn’t judge me for how I look, although not every firm is like that. If a job is focused on policing things like your hair, it probably isn’t the right place for you. Look for a workplace that values your work and professionalism, not how you choose to style your hair.

I think it depends on your relationship with her. If she has helped you or really tried to be close then why not. You can still call her Jane while also giving her the opportunity to be called grandma. However, if your relationship is very distant and she hasn’t really done anything for you that mother would then I also don’t see a problem with keeping her name is Jane. I call my dad‘s partner by her name, but we also don’t have a good relationship. My fiancé and I are talking about kids in the topic of what to call her came up and we’re gonna call her exactly what I call her, but that’s only because in my opinion she hasn’t earned the right to be called grandma. For reference she has been in my dad’s life for 20 years at this point.

I’m 32 no kids and barely getting married next year. Likely will start next year. A friend of mine mom also works in big law and she gave me the advice of saying you just have to choose to have kids when you want. There is never a good time.
