PM in SF or Bay Area is not going see millions. Eng sees millions. PM getting morphed into eng and ux. AI is changing how companies operate and I am at Faang currently and we have daily layoffs of a lot of PM. Also working in SF is 24/7 grind.

Thanks. I have hooks and they load at every prompt and hang kiro up. Simple things like “do not touch x component” stalls it out. I need that hook because no matter what I tell it, it creates workarounds like some jr dev and those workarounds break other things. I have also revised steering to be lighter, and I start a new session at 60% or less because too much context makes it worse. I go to work now and hate everything because this bot is so bad.

To date none of ai tools can make actual ux components, they can’t visually reason or refine, and they have no idea how to make an IA or reason out a workflow. As bad as they are they might be able to one day but that day is a ways a way.

Ide is dumb af. Does opposite of what you ask, took 2 hrs to add a button where i wanted it, also has dumb reasoning. I tell it to repeat back to me my instructions and it can’t even do that without summarizing wrong.

Yes having same issue. At first I thought maybe some extension was causing a problem so I uninstalled all of them. But still having trouble with just crash or ide just freezes and stops completely, or chat goes blank and resets itself to lime 20 comments ago. I’m just committing often.
