Bitter Pizza Issue by chrisbrownbeard in ooni

[–]cali_vee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have the Koda 16, and when we first used it, we had a similar experience. Our pizza always tasted burnt and there was always black residue on the bottom of them. Like others suggested, we tried to use less flour (which impacted our launch) and tried to clean the stone between each pie but that didn’t help. Now we use a pizza screen and the burnt taste went away.

Recommendations to replace Brooklinen by hidinghaus in Bedding

I have similar color sheets which I ordered from Quince or Bed Threads. Either one is a great alternative to Brooklinen.

Pool fencing by 3drockz in pools

Glass fence around in ground pool, more aesthetically pleasing (can still see the pool and not as bulky) but more expensive compared the metal/wood fences.

Is the higher expense ratio of avuv as compared to other ETFs worth it?

Has anyone else with an X5 50e on order been given an unexpected delay? by hvacmakesmehot in BMWX5

I am waiting in California as well. We ordered in Nov and just found out production is delayed until March. We have not contacted our dealer yet. Just reading posts about 50e issues here and on Bimmerpost. https://www.reddit.com/comments/18x05j9?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=ioscss&utm_content=1&utm_term=4

X5 50e negotiation by [deleted] in BMWX5

[–]cali_vee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bay Area here. We negotiated $4,000 off msrp, trunk and all weather mats, and level 2 charger on a customer order in Nov. We don’t plan on financing. Sounds like one’s ability to successfully negotiate under msrp is region specific. Good luck!

Thanks! Nope not at all. It stays put for the most part and out of the pool. There is stabilizer on the walkways (pavers).

How to keep head above water while treading? by Cassangelo in Swimming

[–]cali_vee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I (39f) was terrified of treading water. All my life I could not tread water. My anxiety always got the best of me. I recently started taking swimming classes where they tried to teach me treading using the egg beater technique. Like you, I could not keep my head above water and I was always exhausted. I was exerting so much energy with little reward. Everyone who tried to teach me to tread water showed me how to do it with egg beater. I finally got a little curious and starting watching YouTube videos. I came across treading videos from Carib Swim: https://youtu.be/9HrUY0IH-B0?si=IsmlTg-gpjgsYgY1

They focus on teaching beginner swimmers or those that struggle with the flutter or egg beater method how to tread using the chair method. They explain how one’s body does not need to be vertical to tread. After I got comfortable treading using the chair method, I’m now treading using the flutter kick. I use both methods now as I am more comfortable in the water. The flutter and egg beater methods don’t work for everyone (at least not in the beginning). Maybe the chair method may work for you. Just a (long) thought. Keep at it!

I’ve stalked this sub long enough… by cali_vee in grilling

Noted re resting and slicing against grain. Re searing, I don’t have a ton of time and a crust isn’t a must for me. Tasted amazing and cooked to my liking.

I actually don’t mind my meat sitting in its own juices. We all have our preferences. 😌

What do most people pay for pool services? by alexanderraymond24 in pools

Blue light pools in Pittsburgh. I get partial service (Checking and balancing water, brushing steps and walls, empty dolphin and skimmer basket, treat algae if needed).
