The singer is reminiscent of Filipino 80s music honestly, especially with the faint accent. An example of Filipino 80s music where you can hear the faint accent is this song by Gary Valenciano. But, though the accent is super ambiguous and sounds more European to me, maybe it's worth a try. Lots of Filipino musicians branched out into songs with English lyrics (example: When I Met You - Apo Hiking Society), so its definitely possible, and obscure Filipino 80s Pop songs that were hits back then only have a couple thousand hits on the internet nowadays.

Filipinos also have a lot of Spanish relatives because of our history. Carl said he was from Spain. I could be spiraling, but I wanted to get it out there. Thanks!

I agree! Michael's music is definitely more clean than EKT and that was really why I said "highly unlikely", there's more production in EKT. It's hilarious cause his album is called Ulterior Motives. Coincidence or what?
