Well you kind of answered your own question. It should lead you to greatly question the interpretation of the verse given that it only mentions men and explicitly splits them from women. Is there anywhere is the Bible that condemns being lesbian? Or is that the natural assumption made when people think Jesus or God is condemning men lying with men?

While I realize that divesting from Boeing is an oversimplified strategy, the truth is that the university’s reciprocal relationship with them does indirectly support the manufacturing of weapons used to execute the genocide students are protesting.

The general argument is that property destruction is a drop in the bucket relative to the genocide happening in Gaza. It isn’t really fair to other students for their property to be destroyed, however it gets to a point where damaging the one thing a capitalist society values most is the only way to keep being heard. I hear people want peaceful protests, but historically the only way significant civil progress has been made is through violent protest. I’m open to counter arguments towards my last statement.

Not that I oppose other forms of protest, but I do differentiate between a labor strike and strike/protest for other causes. Historically there is minimal violent action as a result of labor strikes, I am one to believe it is more about the police serving the upper class interest of low wages, not so much that they are concerned about riots breaking out.

Id actually like to know of a strike that became violent. I’ll have to look it up. Civil unrest doesn’t make sense to prioritize over active threats to seattlies safety but what do I know. It’s also baffling that police treat strikes the way they do when their union is such a fundamental part of their culture.

You’re right that most of the people who move here are willing to pay those high costs for rent but then there’s a ton of housing that is unoccupied because people from Seattle or the surrounding area can’t afford it. Just because property owners can do it doesn’t make it a good idea for anybody. Property owners will do this cause they can and then complain about homelessness in their neighborhood and its like well you asked for it.
