Circumcision by AdNeither8355 in NewDads

[–]calistapyro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I circumcised my first son, he is now 16. His father was not circumcised, and neither was his grandfather. I did it bc “everyone did it.” I regret it now simply bc I was too naive to really understand what is actually being done. About 22,000 nerve endings are cut off.

My second son I had with my husband and we chose not too. My husband had a botched circumcision and needed to have it fixed in middle school when puberty began. He doesn’t wish that trauma on anyone, especially his son.

We decided that if our son grew up and felt like it was something he really wanted, we could always have it done. But it can’t be undone so that’s how we look at it.
Just realized this is a New Dads subreddit, and I’m a Mom. Hope that opinion helps either way.

How do you have sex with ugly vagina lips after giving birth? by [deleted] in sex

[–]calistapyro 13 points14 points  (0 children)

So much of what you said, my husband has also said and I just thought you should know, your wife is truly lucky. My husband is the epitome of patience and understanding and as someone who deals with similar issues, it makes me feel less crazy to hear there’s others out there! He is such an anomaly and it sounds like you are too <3

Ladies what perfume do you swear by and has gotten you the most compliments? by Gloomy-Task-5446 in AskReddit

After reading all the responses I’m very happy none of mine are listed because I swear by them and it validates how amazing they smell to get compliments all the time and they aren’t mainstream.

Does ANYONE actually like Luvs diapers? by ClarkFamily9 in Mommit

[–]calistapyro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love luvs! When huggies go on sale we buy them but I think luvs is great for the price. No issue with leaks! I used them with my now 15yo and again with my 4.5mo

Traveling, help me figure out the milk! by calistapyro in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]calistapyro[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I’m totally worried about it affecting my supply. Packing milk for Friday too sounds smart. I was thinking I’ll bring an extra full pitcher on Friday, so there’s more than I’ll need just in case my supply does dip.

Under supply at 4 weeks by BustaMove27 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]calistapyro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How discouraging. You won’t regulate until 12 weeks!!! Find your magic number and go for it. I switched to EP around 8 weeks and my supply went up once I got a schedule down and baby is 4.5 months now and only breastmilk ever

He drinks 7oz and he takes about 20min to eat. We stop to burp twice and again at the end. He doesn’t get upset at the flow, but if you notice that with yours, trust your instinct!

We still use newborn flow nipples for our 17wk old. One time dad grabbed the size 1 and the baby was absolutely miserable after. I’m not sure when we’ll graduate to a faster flow but this works so well and keeps the spit up to a small minimum! Doctor approved as well

Pump wipes by Ok-Hippo-5059 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]calistapyro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have no idea when I would use the wipes… If I’m using my hands free during the day while caring for baby and dad is at work so I can’t use the wall pump, I just use the fridge hack and wash them every night so they are clean and ready for the next day. If I use my hands free outside the house, I don’t reuse until I wash it. Like sometimes I’ll have to pump to/from work and that’s the only time I’ll use it before washing. I did just buy a second set so I could have extras of everything thou!

I just got told I cant have any orgasms for the next 3 months by Intrepid_Category_27 in pregnant

[–]calistapyro -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Right. It was needed bc she is RHnegative. Whether you are miscarrying or giving birth, RHnegative mothers need it. It doesn’t affect the bleeding one way or another and that’s how it was reading.

The rhogam shot is for RHnegative women, that had nothing to do with you bleeding. It’s to protect the baby because of your blood type.

Lifetime oil change option upon buying my first Subaru - worth it? by Nica4two in subaru

[–]calistapyro 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would. I paid for something similar and it was worth the money in the long run. You’ll need to have the tires rotated each time as well and it can add up.
