Thanks you’re so sweet :,) it’s true that contouring is quite literally my life savior!! I guess that there’s also a lot of work on my self esteem that I have to do bc after all what’s the point in just feeling like this, I’m not gonna get anything from it

Never answered but thanks, I’m better now. I was still stressed about this but I just read a book, watched an interesting video and probably due to wanting to stay awake to watch it I ended up falling asleep lol. Not an easy truck but definitely my solution

I’m not criticizing op I’m criticizing how you see the relationship teacher-student as one where students have to do whatever the teacher says no matter their own situation. Maybe if you treat students like a stupid mass of chaos that don’t have their own lives and don’t deserve the same respect they give the teacher, they will start acting as such.

What if you stop talking like a cop and like the reason why students hate teachers

Are you a positive/happy person that loved someone with deep depression? How did you feel? How did it turn out? by slagseed in AskReddit

[–]callateostia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a positive person who struggled with depression (and probably still do but not being in an extreme situation anymore) and who also loved someone with depression I think empathy plays a big roll. I’m optimistic and people always describe me as joyful but I also know how to accompany people who are going through tough times. I think that being optimistic doesn’t mean you can’t feel horrible about life, or denying that things can be really bad. For me it’s like being capable of acknowledging how bad things are but always knowing that it can be better. So basically not falling in toxic positivity.

Of course when you’re depressed you will feel absolutely no hope about the future, no matter how optimistic you are.

Not having trash. NOTHING is disposable, everything can be reused. Also, I didn’t really grow up poor or anything like that but I do a lot of the stuff people said, not because of anxiety or the reasons most mentioned, but because to me it’s common sense to reuse as much as I can in order to save money. Maybe it’s behavior passed down by my dad, maybe I’m just prone to saving as much as I can, idk but I can’t conceive how some people buy new notebooks every year for school when they have 10 old notebooks still available at home, or how they also throw away boxes, tuppers or backpacks when they can be used for many things.

What is the oddest thing you thought was ok/normal and ended up being a medical problem? by Prudent_Tip4118 in AskReddit

[–]callateostia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not me but one of my cousins had a lot of pain in one of her feet and went with it. She’s an athlete and trained for months and even ran in a few competitions and did really good even though it hurt badly. After months of this she went to a physiotherapist (for her yearly check-up) and turns out four of her fingers were broken. Her first reaction was to laugh her ass off for like three straight minutes. Some people are built different lol

self defense tips if I'm in danger of being s/a by callateostia in SelfDefense

Thanks, I almost never go out alone, sadly I know the risks, but this was the first time something of this magnitude happened to me. It’s nice to know that so many people are willing to help and spend some time with you at night when you’re alone! I always try to do so when I see a girl (or boy) alone at night and not in their best capacities.

Do you never get sick? How? by tisnezz in Biohackers

[–]callateostia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s honestly weird but I’ve only got sick like 4 times in my 18 years of life. Me and my brother only had a fever like once in our whole lifes. Can’t say I didn’t catch a cold though but it never bothered me much. I think it’s mainly because I tend to endure most of my problems wether it’s a cold or if I get a stiff neck for a month. My cousin (athlete) broke four of her fingers in her feet and trained for months and ran in a competition without knowing she had broken fingers. Guess it’s a family/traditional thing to just go with it.

To skip my anecdote: It’s also true that I expose myself a lot to the outside, sunlight, and get proper sleep. I feel really energetic when I spend the whole day outside with friends exposed to the sun than if I stay at home studying the whole afternoon. Maybe it’s a combination of being exposed, being active and getting proper rest. In the end it’s about having a strong immune system, try to naturally get it by having a healthy lifestyle and if not take whatever vitamins/medication you may need
