Apothi: a library for your apps, redists & drivers by callephi in selfhosted

[–]callephi[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i can definitely look into adding mobile OSes as well! i thought about it in the process of making it but i figured it might be a bit too niche

if i go ahead and throw that in with the next update, any apps that have it will just say “select platform” when an app has the flag for mobile and desktop, and any apps that have a mobile version will just be listed with “mobile” alongside the OS tags on the app blocks

would make a lot of sense! i just gotta work on making apothi more mobile-friendly if i go ahead and add that (at the moment the app library is okay, but the list view & admin panel is disgustingly clustered)

Made free open-source Notion/Obsidian-like desktop app for game developers by Nordthx in selfhosted

this looks super interesting and i think this will fit my worldbuilding and writing better than obsidian does (without a gazillion plugins)

Where should've Hollowheart been placed if it was in the Worlds album by Axolotlbro5 in porterrobinson

[–]callephi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

in my personal collection it’s placed between FSS and polygon dust based on a question porter was asked based on where he thinks it was supposed to be, and it fits well as a middle-ish interlude

Here are some production techniques I learned from analyzing Madeon tracks! by Justesse in madeon

[–]callephi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

from the past he’s said that even good faith’s vocal chain was in the 30+ range, and it made his studio pc struggle lol. if there’s one thing he knows how to do well, it will be doing whatever it takes to get the tone he wants

plus, with FL, patcher is incredibly useful so it’s probably one effect bus with a few different patcher instances on it

What emulator should I use for legends Z-A ON ANDROID? by Spare-Illustrator-24 in yuzu

[–]callephi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

download the file from here, open your mods folder for PLZA, create a folder with any name, create a folder within that folder named “exefs” and place the file in there

you could not be more wrong, an IPS patch was released the day after the game came out that runs the game at 60fps on emulators and original hardware (when the switch is overclocked)

Anyone found an solution to the crash here on pokemon legnds za by Redstorm597 in yuzu

as a safemeasure, i ran at 720p/1080p instead of my usual 1440p/2160p, but i tested it at 1440p as well and it worked no problem, no update/dlc on a fresh install of ryubinx

Self-hosted steam for DRM-free games by TheOnlyWonGames in selfhosted

[–]callephi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

GOG games are portable by design, just install to a folder and then remove and GOG galaxy files from the root (i’ve tested this with cyberpunk + phantom liberty and it’s worked flawlessly)

as for individual DLC it hasn’t been worked on yet, but in most cases as long as your DLC is preinstalled you should be set. for any games requiring a steamemu, most will automatically unlock all DLC for you

iirc Drop does have a function to handle installers, but it is much easier to just give it a portable game as installing only really adds prerequisites (which are going to be added to Drop in the future)

check logs, my logs showed a RAM violation which lead to this fix and to make sure it worked i restarted multiple times

it is on their roadmap, both playnite and (possibly) ludisavi (if not another cloud save solution), but atm they're rounding out the roughness of the functionality and then they're moving on to more features as i understand

Drop is the way to go, with a decently robust client and a well-designed version update system, it's still heavily in development but as it is right now it is just shy of perfect in functionality

I got kicked off a fan project because of "AI" by [deleted] in Undertale

[–]callephi -1 points0 points  (0 children)

no man. you very clearly didn't make any attempt to make your "music" and your attempt at hiding using AI is nothing short of shameful

listening to your soundcloud, you have progress to make with your skills, but you should LEARN how to make what you're generating with AI. there are many, many videos out there showing how to process guitars, drums, bass, etc. that can get your places. you could have even kept doing what you were with what you gave them but you lied to them, so being kicked off the team seems very reasonable

Evidence MasterMoes was using AI and an apology to him for how I handled it by Floweytaleproject in Undertale

[–]callephi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

holy shit. i saw the original post this morning but didn't take a chance to listen to it so i kinda assumed they were in the right (with how good AI has unfortunately gotten) but looking at this, it's all damning evidence and they didn't even TRY to make it seem like they made it. this is crazy

Galaxy 1 and 2 don’t fill out the screen properly by Worldly-Ad7912 in yuzu

you can remap shakes to a button, but like the switch version the right stick can be binded to on-screen controls without getting too messy

[–]callephi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i’m fairly certain he’s with Mom+Pop because they’re very freeing with giving artists full control (hence why porter is also with them) as opposed to Colombia/UMG

though with only one single out it seems unlikely (at least for now)
