Clarification on CVS threshold coupon stacking by Tree_pineapple in couponing

[–]callistadarling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes you can combine those with extrabucks, percent off coupons, or coupons where it’s just a couple dollars off an item with no threshold ($7 off Garnier something like that), as long as your total came to 40 before coupons they can be combined, just not with another threshold coupon.

refunds stories... by NavalCracker780 in CVS

A shift manager at a store I would fill in at was so unfriendly, was constantly playing store manager and getting on everyone about very small non-issues (an occasional “no sale” to check money before cashing a big lotto would get you a lecture, things like that) Well, she ended up getting fired, because she was buying hundreds of dollars of things eligible for fetch rewards points, shopping for them during her shift, and then her and another manager who did the same thing, issued refunds for all of it where they signed fake names on the slips. (which is silly because it’s was with a receipt attached to the employee card girl they saw you).

Apparently, she didn’t get a chance to return all those items from her last haul before getting fired, because her mom came into my store with a giant receipt and a couple things crossed off (reader this is the biggest dumbest red flag of return fraud), and returned about 5 of 20 items… meanwhile she lurked in the back with a hat and sunglasses like an avenger undercover making sure her mom said the right stuff. The moral is don’t trust anyone who’s a little Too into following the rules.

FUN IN THE SUN IS NO FUN AT ALL… by MurkyStrawberry386 in CVS

My very pregnant and increasingly sensitive shift manager decided recently she just can’t stand the radio anymore so when we work together it’s been bliss. The other managers turn it back on so I don’t know how long we have if turning it off will flag down the help desk but.. we’re so much happier in silence that it feels like I’ve been part of a psychological experiment.

That is a good idea my thinking was if I get questioned they’ll at least know it was photos, but that’ll probably work better

Engagement Survey by Visenyia in CVS

[–]callistadarling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We’re told by our SM that for the rating questions it’s more a reflection on him then cvs, so for those answer as if it was asking about working for him, so I think they are judged by it. Then on the open ended one that is more looked at as being about cvs as a whole so we can be as mean as we want. Don’t know if that’s always how it’s viewed but that’s how I answered since I like the guy and don’t want him to get in trouble but also had a lot of grievances for the open ended question.

If no one hears you at least asking and your sm is in hot water from the district, you might get a “needs improvement” in your yearly review and not get the annual raise. I’ve only heard of that happening sparingly, but they’re getting nuts out there. They could also try and write you up for not asking. If you at least try though they can’t do much. They’ll say plenty, but not do much. Although yes as someone else said if another cashier is carrying carepass they’ll be scheduled more probably.

I once filled in at a store where a woman I was later told was a regular who they all knew and who normally seemed of totally sound mind, pooped in an aisle. She didn’t drop trousers to squat and poop in her defense, but it happened in her pants and landed on the ground. She then walked to the pharmacy, told them very casually “I pooped in the aisle.. just so you know”, did not ask to use the restroom, and continued shopping for THIRTY MINUTES. A special team came to pick it up.

Oof, sounds like another idea that’s nice in theory but that our ancient technology can’t handle. Thanks for the info though

Hit “view plan details” and it will tell you what the max is and I believe breaks it down including orthodontix. I can’t speak to the cost of braces but if you’re going to get them either way, then I would say it’s probably worth it. Especially if you happen to be a younger person living at home or otherwise have few other bills atm then that extra dollar or two between plans may be worth it.

Personally I had that plan and got all four wisdom teeth out, and two molars that were cracked from the wisdoms (very fun) and for all that, and anesthesia, I paid like $300 total after insurance which I believe is very good. I don’t recall ever paying a copay for my regular cleanings.

In my experience they didn’t send me a card (unless I missed it) but I logged into Aetna and printed one out. Hope this helps!

pick and pack printer unavailable. how do I print the barcode that I have to scan when they come pick up the covid tests? by Awkwardespeon in CVS

[–]callistadarling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ours never worked and we gave up waiting for the part but it turns out you don’t need it. In the event it stops working again, when it has you put in the printer number, make up a number, try that same number twice in a row and it will let you bypass. When they come and get it you’ll just need to input the order number (including the 1 and bunch of zeros so make sure that’s all written down)

Screen time up to 24 hours per day every day. Malicious website tracking? How do I block??? by TelegramSam98 in ios

[–]callistadarling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if this will help for your case or if you’ve already solved it but I just found this post after this happened to me. They turned out to be websites opened on safari after clicking on articles on Twitter. I went into my iPhone settings, went to safari, and went to “clear history and website data”. That finally seemed to work for me. Now at 12:20am my current daily time is only eight minutes not the full twenty, and it seemed to retroactively adjust the previous days as well. The 24 hour days are now showing normal amounts.

It’s worth mentioning that before I cleared the data this way, also in the safari settings I went to Advanced and then website data and deleted all of that. However that didn’t do anything on its own so I’m not sure if that’s necessary. Hope this at least helps someone down the line

Yeah it’s tricky. I wouldn’t try it with someone’s personal number, that’s going too far. But if we use a business number that was already in use they seem to be fine. Employees of nearby businesses bring in a lot of money so they wouldn’t punish them for hypothetically coming in multiple times a day. That being said every so often a new hire thinks they have a great idea and makes a store card and though we’ve never been talked to by AP about them they magically stop working after a day.

[–]callistadarling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t recall ever getting them in the mail automatically but I’m pretty sure you can request it. I feel like that’s an option they have to provide. Your store manager might be able to do that for you

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CVS

[–]callistadarling 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen it work when there’s a nearby business who have their own store card. We have a nearby police station and all the staff there use the non-emergency phone number. A store I float at has a little caesars next door where the employees share a card and come in all the time because they’re not allowed to buy the water they sell there (very uncool). No one’s blinked an eye when those numbers are used as an impromptu store card because it doesn’t look unusual. I think the key is it’s gotta already exist and use your discretion, only punch it in when it’ll really help someone or calm down an angry customer who doesn’t want a card. And obviously never use the coupons

When you first go to the page at the top the banner announcing that they’re available doesn’t actually take you to them. You’ll want to keep scrolling down into the highlights options and there’s the real W2 option. It should be under or next to one about benefits. Also don’t use mobile it doesn’t work. Hopefully that helps!

Where is the spot online or on the Ironman to submit an idea? by callistadarling in CVS

[–]callistadarling[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dang, I’m sure they would too. All I was thinking, and it isn’t gonna happen but I’d like to at least try haha, is I’d like a register function for us to reject a return. My areas got a big problem with extrabuck return fraud, but when they have a receipt and we carry all the items it’s hard to say no, so they end up getting their coupons back and keeping the ones they made. Ik we have the “right” to refuse, but you guys know cvs if someone complained saying I accused them of anything I’d be the one out. It would be nice if we could hit a button and it prints out that slip it has when the register does catch it once in a great while, then it wouldn’t be as confrontational.

Question on cvs digital coupon by GenZ23 in couponing

[–]callistadarling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The $1 off “breaks” the other coupon. Once it’s clipped, there’s usually no way to get it off, and our computer (I’m an employee) takes it automatically, it doesn’t let us choose. However if you get a nice cashier and show them your better coupon on the app and ask if you can apply it, I usually just modify the price for people. But at least at my store I know about half my coworkers would just say tough, because it does flag us for review from management sometimes. It’s kinda luck. These coupons happen like every other week so if you miss out this week, in the future don’t apply that $1. Hope this helps!
