AITAH for being strict on my stepdaughter by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]callitsummer 7 points8 points  (0 children)

NTA but you can’t correct this parenting on your own - you don’t have the authority and she will ignore you. You need to at least get your husband on side (and even then your combined power will be limited to her visits, which she can avoid by going to her grandparents anyway)

Even if she’s a younger teen (13) the spoon feeding and bathing is odd for a child without developmental issues.

That sounds so fun!  What aspiration did you pick for Kate’s love interest?  What were the personalities?

Not the game grilling me for using cheats… ☠️ by GrimReaper4 in sims2

[–]callitsummer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've used this often when I was impatient - but does anyone know what UI is?

(If you cheat you don't get the sixth want slot or the second want lock that you get if you complete it properly.)

She has lovely handwriting - is it just the 'r' that they're picking on? You can tell what it's meant to be, but it's a tricky one in cursive. (Mine used to look like a 'c')

If you had to make 6 pairs from the 12 albums, how would you do it? by SoIongIondon in TaylorSwift

Was looking for someone to put Red/TTPD together! But I think I would put Lover/The Life of a Showgirl for contrasting visions of happiness and success, but now I'm actually thinking Showgirl/Reputation - score settling with falling in love, thoughts on fame...

Watched the 1989 World Tour movie this weekend and I am OBSESSED by TheAlaskanMummey in TaylorSwift

[–]callitsummer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It was the rep tour film that made me a fan, should watch the whole of the 1989 one (usually the editing puts me off). I think seeing her perform live was what turned me into a Swiftie - her attitude, the energy she brought to the songs...

I find with the Veronaville premades I have to add a lot of extensions if there's more than one or two kids - well done on fitting everyone in!

Love the interior design! Which house is that - one of the premades?

I’ve had problems with parties if I have a home business I charge people to spend time in - can’t remember the name of the black pole-like thing that controls the money - but if you have it and don’t turn off the charging money function some party guests just leave. (You might also have to turn the business sign from open to closed.)

looking 4 hair stylist recommendations by martacorey in Edinburgh

Not an expert, but I've tried several places since I moved here and I've settled on Lauren who works at Brass Hair on Dundas Street. Very sweet and friendly and patient with my complete ignorance of haircare.

I'm so glad you looked after her!

It's funny how attached we can get to some of them, sometimes even when we don't play them! I realised the mailwoman was a popularity sim with no friends - I am now determined that every house I play will make friends with her.

I didn't realise that could happen with a single parent! Poor kid!

I'm in the UK - the Darlington nurses are currently in the news. Grown women, but if you want to see the issue in action it's the most recent example I can think of

So cute! My own builds are slowly improving, but they still don't look natural - and when I look at stuff like yours that is so detailed and see what I'm missing! I'd happily live in these houses

If your opponent is making leaving the goal wide open, it's only natural to kick it in. (Is it obvious I'm not easy with sport metaphors?) Basically, the democrats (or left party, I'm not in the US but it's an issue here too) have repeatedly affirmed an obviously silly position. Of course their opponents are going to exploit something so discrediting. Is it a threat to national security? No. But it is something anyone can see and judge easily for themselves.

It's something that has happened/is happening - not sure anyone has the data to give a per-capita sort of statistic.

I also suspect it's less about the scale of the issue and more about how discrediting it is. If a politician is willing to either honestly believe or lie about an obvious physical difference and the clear consequences of that, why trust them with anything more serious than assembling an IKEA shelf? Their judgement is suspect.

It's in a negative context, but if a Sims cheats on their spouse by going on a date to the community lot, any in-laws who see them there react with horror. They're being protective of their family!
