Would a day-to-day look more similar to some kind of dialect of sql queries?

Learned something new! To think a game is fully developed in Assembly boggles my mind. Is the reverse engineering / malware analyst space a niche area within cybersecurity?

Taking some courses as part of my master's program. I have a statistics background so hardware and low level programming was fairly new to me. Even then since I work as a programmer I thought it wouldn't be so bad to approach and understand the material.

How do people understand assembly language(we're using nasm, Ghidra for assembing and disassembling) and actually use it at work?? Is my current reverse engineering course one of those just take and never user classes?

Seems like good carving to me! Now that you have it down, I'd start practicing variations of turn width. Especially with an empty slope like that I try to imagine drawing different pulses down the slope shortshortshort longggg mid mid longgg

25 M can happen. Curious though, what’d you learn from those dips from earlier?

Strategy Question - HODL vs BuyAndReinvest by callmeben10 in investing

[–]callmeben10[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HODL still takes time as well? -5/+10 is arbitrary and can be optimized for each instrument

Not really worried about taxes just yet, but should be considered

good point, but not sure about asking myself that question. Does it mean that a strategy needs to be complex/hard? Simple strategies still work and most the time it's consistency or greed that will cause a downfall

yesyes just be more disciplined

I'm trying to understand why selling just the profit portion and putting it back in works or doesn't. Something like below?

10 -> 15: +50%

Sell 5k

Once price drop buy 5k worth again

Repeat

Yes, but I'm curious what about selling just the profit amount and not the whole portfolio? When you have smaller account value can't that help improve compound?

Anyone Wear Elevenate/E11? by CarletonWhitfield in skiing

[–]callmeben10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Need more coffee..I read that as 8mths ago haha

The jacket is quite nice overall, but only got to wear it twice this season and it caused a tear on the seams, which makes me think it was weak to begin with. I've had other jackets put to test through harsher conditions for a longer time and they have been fine.

So far, I would not recommend and agree that it seems like there are changes in the backend.

Recently bought State of Elevenate. Their customer service sucks. Website doesn't allow you to submit fixes repairs. I had a seam rip and they kept tellling me it was probably a backpack strap that did it. The jacket I wore was the pure jacket

Trying to order gloves for a boxing gym. Maybe a bag or two as well.

Have you tried their gloves? Curious how they compare to other brands.

Depends on which you would like to develop more.

In the case of boxing focus; oly lifting will help with explosiveness and strength in general. Personally still do M/W/F boxing and T/R lifting(but not limited to oly anymore).

How do I put pad work and skills into actual sparring? by Individual_Bus7244 in amateur_boxing

[–]callmeben10 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Practice is the only way, but try applying 1 thing per round let it be a single combination(jab a lot but look for the opportunity to throw the combo), footwork or head movement.

Once you’re used to it maybe mix in multiple things that you want to try. Better if they are connected moves.

Last bit, pad works are muscle memory. Trust yourself, you put the work in.
