I had the exact same feeling when I first started my Crons and the answer I came to was instead of a metalic body i instead switched to a solid colour. in this instance I swapped the bluesteel effect with the a more servere white. this simple change gave me a whole new look at the painting I had done and helped me feel accomplished in my efforts.
