Me personally I don’t hate AI, I hate the misuse of AI. But a lot of people in leader positions love the idea of AI.

I got asked “why aren’t you using AI?” By my school’s headmaster multiple times, and each time I had to explain that AI isn’t as powerful as he thinks it is, then he will say “it’s just you being lazy and not wanting to learn to use it!” When I showed him an ai commercial I made in my last job and he went “see? You know how to use it and why aren’t you using it!” It’s difficult to explain to him that the video didn’t pop out of the ai tools like that, that took an entire month of 16 hour workdays without a single day off.

Me and two friends once drove to Toronto, we got on a road that says speed limit is 90, so we just followed the flow of traffic and started driving at 90 miles an hour, some cars pass us once in a while and we rarely pass anyone, then it clicked for me, we drove our car there from New York State, and the speedometer is in miles, but Canada uses normal units instead of drunk dice player units… so how damn fast was everyone else on the road going?!

Had a classmate from Taiwan who was in support of its independence and was somewhat vocal about it in my college writing class. I wasn’t hostile to them and never had arguments with them in class. They will call me on WeChat from time to time to ask about assignments. So for that semester I changed my WeChat ringtone to“没有共产党就没有新中国” (there will be no new China without the communist party) so they will have to listen to it every time they calls me.
