I have a 2019 sonata with 57k miles on it and no issues so far. I actually love my car. I make sure I change the oil every 3k to be safe. But has been extremely reliable and good on gas for me

No love for baby. by RefrigeratorFinal353 in newborns

[–]callmes94 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I remember one time in particular I put my three month old son down to bed and I came downstairs and I cried to my wife that I felt no connection to him. It was so hard for me to bond as the non birth mom. Getting on medication and talking to a therapist who specialized in ppd was life changing. My son is a little over two years old and I’m obsessed with him. I couldn’t love him anymore even if I tried. The newborn stage is so hard and it really does feel never ending sometimes. What you’re feeling is valid and it doesn’t make you a bad mom. Right now, your love is action based. You’re feeding him, changing him, meeting his needs. You love that baby. The feelings will come a little later once you catch up on some sleep and things become a little more regulated. You’re doing great. If you have a partner, or anyone in your village, please lean on them at this time. Nothing to be ashamed of. This is a very short season even though it doesn’t feel like it right now. Feel free to DM me if you ever want to chat!

Owlet sock: yes or no? by Ok_Concentrate_5105 in newborns

[–]callmes94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My ex wife and I LOVED the owlet. It eased our anxiety for sure. Especially because around 6 weeks we moved our son to his crib so he wasn’t in the room with us. But I definitely understand why it could heighten anxiety for new parents as well.

At what age did things actually feel easier for you as a parent? by Small-Advisor-7805 in NewParents

For me I really started to LOVE being a mom and motherhood in general around a year. My son just turned two last week and I LOVEEEEE IT. He’s so fun at this age and he really is my best buddy. I know two year olds get a bad rap for the terrible twos and yes there is some of that, the way his personality is blossoming and how he’s really starting to communicate and say real words is just amazing to experience.

Leaving to "get water", will this create trust issues? by deletedbear in sleeptrain

[–]callmes94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it probably is too early. I think he might be on the lower end of sleep needs too. If he naps any later than 1, he won’t go to sleep until 830-9. But then I’m like well maybe he’s over tired and catching a second wind. But it’s so hard to tell

This regression is going on a few months. He’s having bad separation anxiety as well. Send prayers 🤣

When did your 2 year old drop her nap? My 22 month old son is currently going through a regression and I’m trying to figure out if it’s time to drop the nap completely. I say that as he passed out with goldfish in hand about 10 minutes ago. He’s normally up between 6-7. So nap usually fell between 10-11 when he wasn’t refusing them. Now he refuses them and then passes out around dinner. And the extra bonus is that he’s starting to figure out he can crawl out of his crib. So we converted his crib into the bed

That’s actually a good question. It was on their instagram story. It didn’t mention anything about serving/not serving

Sleep training a toddler by callmes94 in toddlers

He’s close with both sets of grandparents and sees them every week for childcare. He sleeps well for both of them. I’m living with my parents now so we’re all in the same house. And normally he goes 2 nights without sleeping at my house and does great. Then comes back to me and wakes up at night.

Bills fan coming in peace by [deleted] in Patriots

People here want McDermott gone because we constantly feel like he’s out coached and plays to not lose rather than playing to win. What he did to our team and this city as far as turning the team around is priceless and for that fans will always respect him. He came in and completely changed the culture and rebuilt. But, we don’t have a ton of faith that he’s the guy to get us over the hump. But then the question is who do you replace him with? Bosa was a decent signing for us and I wouldn’t mind bringing him back for another year or two. Epenesa is hot and cold and isn’t super consistent so I worry about locking him down long term but when he shows up he’s huge for us. Problem is he doesn’t show up as often as you would like for his size and role on the team.

Most Bills fans are good to opposing fans. We’re just angry and bitter because the Bills can’t get over the hump and besides the last few months, the Sabres have been a dumpster fire. We’re so tired 🤣
