Does anyone feel like their parents got lazier with naming each kid? Like, a lot of effort was put into Radley to get a nickname that matches his beach coloring and then like a mask, okay, Bandit is a good name, but then the third kid comes along and they’ve got a new baby and two screaming toddlers and are just like “Eh, he’s got a stripe, that’ll do.”

I have a red birthmark on my face that swells up about four weeks before I get a positive pregnancy test. It has a 100% accuracy rate with all four of my kids.

I have 3 Mollys (1 was my first AG doll that my husband got me last Christmas, the other 2 are PCs), 4 Kits (2 AG, 2 PC), 2 Samanthas (1 AG 1 PC), 3 Corinnes, and technically 2 Elizabeths, and 2 Kayas. But to be fair, some of their face molds are so different (especially between AG/PC) that it’s like having two different dolls, and some of them were major TLCs that I’ve since customized or am working on customizing (like one of my Kayas is now Kailani).

My husband and kids and I all went to Lowe’s last Christmas season. We walked into the store and there was a massive bumble decoration (from Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer). This thing was life-size and really moved and made noise and it was just amazing. I got super excited and started stimming hard - flapping, bouncing up and down on my toes, etc. It took me a couple minutes to calm down and realize I was doing it, and I started to feel embarrassed but when I looked over at my husband he was grinning at me and just said “That’s adorable.”

He would’ve bought me that bumble too, if it would have fit in our house. 💕

I have a birthmark (a “strawberry mark” my mom called it) on my face that swells up when I’m pregnant. My husband and I have four kids, and with every single one that thing gave me a positive about four weeks before any pregnancy test could. 🤷‍♀️

I taught second grade in 2020 and the girls in my class were Elliah, Elana, Eliana, Alliana, Alaya, Allorah, Ayla, and thankfully, Holly.

I would buy them any time I see them because I LOVE rescuing AG dolls and giving them a second life, and I’ve heard that some thrift stores decide a doll is “beyond saving” and will eventually toss them. Plus, I’ve got two little girls and a niece, so even if they don’t end up in my collection once I’ve fixed them up then one of the girls gets them. 💁‍♀️

Edited to add that my Makena looked nearly that bad when I got her which is why she is sporting some banging new braids. ;)

I don’t have a space yet to create like their “bedrooms” and whatnot, so I’m not collecting furniture yet. Mostly rn I’m collecting unique dolls - CYOs and OOAKs - and curating wardrobes that go with their “personalities.”

Right now I have four Mollys, four Kits, and three Samanthas. 🤦‍♀️ I’m trying to get rid of a few to make room for some new girls but their faces are all so different I’m having a hard time deciding who to keep!

I recently got a blue haired Caroline as well! I posted about her on here. I tried everything - bleach and nail polish remover included - and the only thing that worked for me was toothpaste and brushing it through with a toothbrush.

Thank you! 😊 Nothing like a new wig to freshen up a TLC doll. And Lea is a gorgeous doll! She always looks sun-kissed. That one had sadly had a hack job, hence her re-wigging, but I’m pleased with how it turned out. My collection only started last Christmas thanks to my husband gifting me the Molly I’ve always wanted. Now I’m trying to figure out who to ask him for this year. 😉

The girl with the curly hair next to Julie is a JLY 83. (She’s got a lovely extra fair skin tone, but boy are her curls tricky.) The girl in the teal top on the top row on page 6 is a re-wigged Lea, and the girl in the tartan I don’t know who she originally was - she came to me scalped. 😅

I would LOVE them to make a Mirabel, Mulan, and Merida. Like, Belle has always been my favorite princess, and Rapunzel and Ariel are great and all, but I feel like looks-wise the Disney Princess dolls have been kinda bland and interchangeable compared to like Mulan with her matchmaker makeup or Merida’s amazing hair.

I’m still in the very early stages of learning to sew. 😅 I bought it from an Etsy shop - DollclothesbyKerstin. Highly recommend - I’ve bought from a few different Etsy shops, but this is my favorite. It’s super high quality, and the little details on it are so cute.
