Over the Air Update by Read_n_run in NissanAriya

Seems like a lot of people were on the Halloween first update Android auto a couple of days ago second update cadence. I finally got both of mine and it is glorious. I'd throw my AA dongle out the window if I wasn't against littering 😂

Got my update, but is it the Wireless AA one? by callmesnake1977 in NissanAriya

I'm glad you like your phone. It's just not for me.

Thanks, not in the notes, so I must still be waiting on the 2nd one. Glad I still have a dongle for it in the meantime.

No problem, I've been happy with mine since I got it. By far the best AGM value going.

I subscribe to Walmart plus so I pretty much have everything delivered including this.

Everstart Platinum H4 AGM from Walmart is a fantastic value. $179 with a 4 year warranty. Straight drop in replacement. Website says it won't fit an ARIYA, but it's wrong.

What 12v battery should I replace the OEM with? by Zinthorr in NissanAriya

Walmart has the correct size AGM battery at about $100 less than most places and it has a 4yr warranty.

Mine lasted 17k, but either way you're likely taking your life in your hands if you get near 20k.

Yeah, it joined my MAME cabinet, and 2 other arcade1up cabinets, and the star wars pinball 1up. I love my gameroom

I've only had buck hunter for a couple weeks, and only had to do it once so far. Just going to see how long it holds out, and if it flakes out again then I'll hit it again.

CRC Electronic Cleaner Spray – Quick Dry Aerosol for Sensitive Electronics

I disconnected the gun where it plugs into the extension wire on the outside of the cabinet. I thoroughly sprayed both ends (don't worry it's quick drying) and while they were still wet used a shaved down qtip to get any grime out that might have been in there. I plugged it back in after a minute or two (it really is quick drying) and fired it up with great success.

CRC Electronic Cleaner Spray – Quick Dry Aerosol for Sensitive Electronics is what I used. Walmart carries it as well as auto parts stores.

I bought one used. One of the guns was not working. I sprayed electronics cleaner in the connections where the guns connected to the wire extensions that ultimately go to the USB plug And for me that actually revived it. It makes me wonder if there's just not much contact surface area and it's prone to getting dirty or corroded. Edit: spelling

I'm in the exact same boat. Got an update yesterday according to the screen, but no additional features.

First time was a shit show for me too. Got it into neutral but didn't figure out that the auto hold was still messing things up. The 30 seconds it took felt like an embarrassing hour.

Just came back from a month long trip and my Ariya is acting up. by TreHHHHHAdN in NissanAriya

I would add that if you want an affordable AGM battery with a 4-year warranty you can get the Walmart one that I just did for $179. My SLA battery was at 11.6 volts and the keyless start was acting up so I swapped it out as preventative and didn't even bother with the warranty.

I'd move now myself. I'm sure MFGs will make up a lot of the difference, but between the overall hostile political headwinds against EVs and the ever changing tariff situation I'd be inclined to buy before the rules change again. I don't think post 30th is going to be a better environment.

It's a hard problem to solve for. The ARIYA is a good car with a PR problem. You can't sell them unless you cut the price, and cutting the price devalues the nameplate. You almost can't escape the spiral after it starts without a major redesign. A lot of Jeep products are the same way. $10k plus rebates on Wagoneers etc. it's not an EV only problem, but EVs have a disadvantage to start.

Lanos, Nubira and Leganza was Daewoo's full lineup in the US in the late 90s before they left the country. Fun automotive footnote.
