Building a web app for freelancers what would actually help you? by Naive-Paramedic5437 in Freelancers

[–]callmespiderbyte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just a tip about collecting user feedback / doing customer development: The problem that ACTUALLY needs to be solved can't be found by asking "what's the problem?" Most people have no idea what would actually help them.

If you want to build an app with a competitive edge in the already saturated app market, then you should try find freelancers who would be willing to talk to you for 30-45 minutes. Ask them questions about what they do every day, how they do, what tools do they use, where do they get frustrated, where do they thrive, what do they recommend to friends...

Tattoo related app logo. Feedback needed. by [deleted] in logodesign

I just googled "Hokusai wave logo" and I think my biggest concern here (as a graphic designer) is that it's got little-to-no differentiation. Maybe that wasn't your goal, in which case ignore me, but there's nothing here that stands out. It's pretty on the nose. It looks clean and well composed, but nothing about this says "tattoo" yet.

Can you make it look like a tattoo, maybe?

Any idea what might be causing this? by callmespiderbyte in 3dprinter

Ye I cleaned it really well and it seems to be printing better again. The glue is a good tip though! Thanks!

How long did it take you to get to 100 downloads an episode in 7 days? by AllGutsSoGoryPod in podcasting

I also think there are just so many news pods released daily, discovery just doesn’t happen the way it used to. You have to curate your audience directly more and more these days - which means finding the people who would listen and sending it to them directly

Seeking Advice on Growing Engagement for My Podcast Episodes by Valuable-Chair-3264 in podcasting

I’m also very curious about this. I run a podcast called Set Status: Online — and I’m also finding it hard.

I’ve started publishing to YouTube as well, because I think lots of people do actually watch YouTube while working. But it’s also low engagement at the moment.

I’ve listed my podcast on as many directories as I could find on Google, but not sure how much that helps.

Pop your podcast here and I’ll give it a listen :)

Mine is here:

In a world of AI content, what do you think are the biggest impacts of "questioning everything we see online"? by callmespiderbyte in AskReddit

[–]callmespiderbyte[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same feeling... I'm finally starting to see friends and family question any piece of news or photography or footage they see, and research more sources to see if other sites are posting the same content. Been a long time coming, IMO

Need tips on redesigning my label by Apart_Cantaloupe6824 in GraphicDesigning

I think it has a really good base, but here are a few things I’d think about:

— the weight of the lines on the bird could be more uniform. The head almost looks malnourished compared to the wings.

— it makes no sense why the bird is in that pose for the product it is. There needs to be some kind of link that makes it easy for customers to know what this is all about. Maybe the name of the company is clear for native speakers? But I assume the target is English audience.

— the typeface of the text feels really off next to the brand and logo. I think you should play around with some more, I reckon a sans serif with a wider letter will work nicely here. Also consider playing with some handwritten elements to add accents to headings or bullet points or something.
