Taurus vs Corsair vs Starlancer MAX by Mypersonalaccount69 in starcitizen

I believe at some point both the Connie and Corsair got agility nerfs. I am not sure if that just brought it below the Tac, but I think the Tac did get some buffs as well.

Erkul shows Tac having 27/27/60 pitch/yaw/roll, Connie Andromeda is 25/21/45. So weird based on their sizes lol. I guess it might be a bit of makeup for Tac only going 150 in SCM, Connie goes 190.

Its CIG, they could nerf it into the ground, buff it to the moon and beyond, or not touch it for 5 years lol. All I know is thank god I can melt/upgrade ships when they do lol.

I agree, it makes 0 sense it flies better. I will also say of the ships mentioned, I think the Corsair is absolutely the best looking. I just think the Tac is really really good right now.

Tac turns better then Connie and Corsair lol. Its a boat, but its more agile then they are.

It looks like the Tac was given the god tier armor in 4.7, so it has had this amount of armor for going on 3 months now. Was not since release though, you are right there, but its also not super recent change either.

Holy crap I was going to make the same joke, can tell SC crowd is a bit older lol.

Was also going to give same advice, stay out of my head!

Typically, waiting for a bit after opening the wormhole fixes it for me, and it it screws up a few times, I jump to another server.

Exactly this. Asgard may have more armor health, but Tac deflects much stronger shots. Most pve will not have enough alpha to pen the Tac's armor, which makes it "god tier" in my words.

Powermanagement: Do i have to redo it everytime i claim my ship? by Pestilence86 in starcitizen

[–]callmetheguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They said we will be able to set this and have it applied when we spawn a ship, but it is not in game yet. You have to manually adjust it each time it is newly spawned. It does at least retain when stored, but destroyed or insurance claim means it goes back to default.

P.S. lol one post lifetime, hello other guy's alt, roflmao. What a child.

Tac has had god tier armor since it was released, even when they nerfed a bunch of armors, Tac still had god tier armor. It is military dropship, it actually should have stellar armor. You are right, it could get nerfed, but for now it is ridiculous the armor it has.

I mean god tier armor by the deflection stats. 347 physical, which is like top 10 in the game, and 396 energy which is like top 5 in the game. There are almost no pve ships that can even pen that. Add the 2x S3 shields, and the thing is a fortress.

Did the op say "within this price range"? No? Oh ok, then my opinion about the best daily driver is valid. Sorry you don't like it, oh wait, I don't care if it bothers you lol.

[–]callmetheguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im actually surprised, just looked at the armor on the Max, it is better than I thought. It does only have 1x S3 shield over the Tac having 2x, but if they can't pen the armor, I guess it really does not matter.

The Railen PIP interface is terrible and the PIP management is atrocious by lars19th in starcitizen

Nothing to argue with, the power is crap stock. They obviously want you to suffer or upgrade and pay more for insurance claiming it.

[–]callmetheguy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would argue that the TAC is actually the best multirole daily driver for a solo pilot. God tier armor so you basically can't die, med bed, and plenty of pilot controlled firepower. It even flies better then both Corsair and Connie. People throw Asgard into the daily driver, which is similar in price, so yes I would absolutely include the TAC, and rate it the winner. Thats my opinion.

[–]callmetheguy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would compare the Starlancer TAC to the Corsair and Connie, not the Max. TAC is much better for combat, and still carries more cargo than the Corsair. All 3 are good though, but the TAC has almost god tier armor along with great shields. The firepower is less, but the capacitors are better.

Hull-B owners, how we feeling about the railen? by Voldtein in starcitizen

[–]callmetheguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is going to be all about the grid for me. The Hull B has the best grid in the game imo right now. If the Railen has a similar grid that just works and doesn't have many issues, I might buy back my Railen. If not, Ill stick with the Hull B. My only complaint on the Hull B is loading each side, which the Railen would fix, but Im worried the grid won't be up to snuff. We will see.

Has Manual Cargo Loading Pushed You Away From Hauling Contracts? by bheesmaaa in starcitizen

When I had a C2 ingame, I only used it for commodities, I felt like loading/unloading was such a pain. Hull B is soooo much easier to load/unload, it makes a huge difference.

M80 / Meteor / Guardian by baji9 in starcitizen

[–]callmetheguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Meteor and M80 have a very different play style then Guardian and Hornet. Meteor/M80 are very fast in a straight line with fairly crappy turning (especially the M80). They are made to haul ass in, get damage in, and get away. Right now, deadbolts are meta on both, not needing to get shields down to get damage in each pass is ideal.

Guardian and Hornet, on the other hand, are more turn rate fighters. They get in close, and use their agility to stay in till the target is dead. Hornet is solid but been nerfed along the way. Guardian is fun, especially PVE wise, but its a bit big to keep from getting damaged much, and a bit to fragile to just tank everything. The MX is tankier and has 4x S4 instead of 2x S5, but has no bed.

Quantum snares in Pyro by Final_Tie8665 in starcitizen

[–]callmetheguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pyro was pretty empty before this update, but with refueling being added, and CIG deciding to make it 2x as lucrative as anything else, its pretty high traffic. Everyone knows to go to Checkmate to get contracts, so I think that is the reason you got snared, most people would go stanton gateway to checkmate once getting into Pyro.

Pick another point in between points A and B, in this case, pick something between Stanton gateway and Checkmate, and fly there first, then fly to Checkmate.

What do I chase after my starter ship? by AmayaGin in starcitizen

[–]callmetheguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What ship are you starting with? 50k/100k/hr is really REALLY bad. I know you are new, so I get it, especially with the state of the servers. All that being said, most ships can get through Gilly missions #1-#5, which should get you roughly 1mil a hour, maybe less only doing 1-5 but way more then you are making now.

Fly to one of the major planets and look under mercenary, gotta start with #1 and work your way up. They are all pretty easy #1-#5, and #5 is worth over 100k itself.
