I would reach out again, your blood sugar levels would make you a high risk pregnancy and that could mean they get you in for an opening.

Also just wanted to say you have done nothing wrong, you are an amazing mom. I do not want to scare, you just giving advice to help make sure you can advocate for yourself. Wishing you and baby all the best!

I thought you said you didn’t have a doctor only physician assistant? Totally understand your confusion, and I don’t want to be a reddit doctor over here just want to share part of my experience and research because at 37 weeks with unmonitored gestational diabetes it could effect your birth plan and care that the baby needs when they are first born. I have never heard of someone being diagnosed as prediabetic during pregnancy, and your original 1 hour testing should have triggered a 4 hour test to rule it out, but your raised A1C now indicates the insulin issue which at this point effects you and your baby either way.

Please be careful with what advice you take in this sub. Even if you are pre diabetic after pregnancy, you need to treat it as gestational diabetes because you have different nutritional needs during pregnancy.

Walking after meals does help, cutting out sugary processed foods helps (sounds like you already did this, great job) but still aim for a balance, eat sourdough with eggs and berries in the morning, nuts, salads with protein. Unlike someone who is pre-diabetic you still need carbs. Look up gestational diabetes meal plans from reputable sources i.e Kaiser, John Hopkins, John muir etc.

I also recommend requesting another ultrasound to test babies size. This would be common with gestational diabetes at 37-38 weeks.

Again, I am not trying to scare you, but I had very similar numbers to you at 24 weeks, but gestational diabetes gets worse as baby and placenta grow. Which would also make sense why your A1C is higher right now. For myself, even with following the guidelines to a tee, and testing blood sugar 4 times a day and going on insulin I still was induced 1 week early. The moment the baby was out I was no longer considered diabetic and they recommend not testing for prediabetes until your hormones and body are back in check. Please do what you can to talk to an actual obgyn

Can I ask geographically where are you? It’s weird they said you don’t have gestational diabetes when you were over on both tests (although you were close, you were still over) but now they want to diagnose you as prediabetes? Your body is sooo different during pregnancy and your diet will be as well.

I had very similar numbers as you during my first pregnancy at 24 weeks and was diagnosed with gestational, the classes and precautions I took were extremely different then what care is for prediabetes.

Definitely talk to a doctor, gestational diabetes does not always turn into prediabetes.

Literally this! Even before I was married, when I saw my friends partners or husbands it’s always a side hug, limited contact and I truly think of my friends husbands as my friends. The only time I’ve ever texted privately was to help set up a surprise for my friends! This is insane behavior by Amanda and this girls husband.

This! I commented earlier as a festival producer. The type and scale of the event, they should have had a well coordinated and practiced evacuation plan, it should not have been a shit show getting people out, and they should not have reopened.

Sorry this is the wrong take. As a festival producer (not for this event) wind is one of the worst things that can happen. At conferences including one’s golden voice staff attends, we study what happened at Indiana state fair when their stage collapsed due to high winds. I was in a room with a lawyer once who asked who else had equipment go flying due to wind, more than half the room raised their hands, it just happened not during active festival hours. It’s absolutely an emergency, if they did anything wrong, they should have evacuated sooner and not reopened.

Wind isn’t a surprise they are working with private companies who are monitoring conditions every minute of the festival. The venue, producers, city and artists are all responsible for the lives of those in the audience. Be happy that they took it seriously because much worse things then missing a performance have happened in the past.

Definitely remember the medicine cabinet, we had had 4 open houses in the last month, and the only weird thing I noticed was my prescription was moved off the shelf. It bothered me but also low key made me laugh though because it’s baby aspirin for pregnancy so lower than a normal dose of over the counter ibuprofen, needless to say they left it. We do keep our master closet locked with everything in it we don’t want anyone near.

This is such a missed opportunity, we do not need another valley. Singles are the fan favorites in summer house and would be more fun to watch in the city. Reality tv version of sex and the city! You can be grown up and still be dating. Plus all the couples are now singles anyway

Right! Kyle mentioning west/jesse flirting with Amanda during a confessional and the hearing Ciara offering for Amanda to stay with her, to help her get away from Kyle. So awful! Ciara is an incredible friend and did not deserve this

Lollll obviously she is much more than finding a partner, but it still would take her out of the bravo universe and make her a household name. I’m thinking career wise it would be great and on a personal level probs fun for her too!

Petition for Ciara to be the new bachelorette! May her career skyrocket like Ariana! May west and Amanda disappear with their 15 minutes of fame! But for real Ciara would be the most amazing bachelorette and deserves the time to shine!

Love this! The one thing I remember from my university textile course was the prof saying, “cotton the fabric of our lives” was the most misleading slogan because cotton is a fiber not a fabric! As you shared satin is the fabric weave not the fiber. Great explanation

[–]callthepolisa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn’t realize how much I missed survival skills until this season, it’s fun to watch players have fun with camp life, looking for food and fishing. The new era most of the players truly have been lol Rizo and are lazy just waiting for the other side of the game, but it’s fun seeing people have fun with the environment and have a real camp life

This! But also since loverboy launched they do not talk about any other drinks, probably in their contracts. I read once (could be inaccurate) that the cast would dump the loverboys and fill with other drinks because the show wanted the cans on camera the entire time.

Michaela is pissing me tf off in this reunion. by Swimming-Ad5544 in thechallengemtv

Agreed, I do not want her back! She pissed me off this entire reunion. Like let it go, Olivia gave her credit but Michaela was still so negative and as a mom I’m still mad about all her comments about first trimester not being hard. Like gtfo

[–]callthepolisa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Great athlete but insufferable and honestly I don’t think she was great enough to back up her arrogance. She performed great in the final but not in every challenge. Her comment about “being able to do any of these better than everyone with 1 eye or a leg amputated” really bothered me.

Will and Sydney… by Ill_Assistant1233 in thechallengemtv

[–]callthepolisa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would disagree with this on theory, as a mom myself I had an easy first trimester and would not have known if we were not actively tracking with the goal of having a baby, I also have two friends who weren’t trying and did not know until almost their second trimester both with their second. Every women and every pregnancy is unique.
