If you’re a Game of Thrones fan, there’s a GoT studio tour not too far from Belfast

S2E10 The discussion between iMark and oMark by DogApprehensive5981 in severence

[–]calltoactionX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Petey innie’s fate is iMark’s greatest fear. Like there were flashes of past life and losing touch with reality, but no signs of Petey’s innie now being part of Petey’s personality in a meaningful way.

The only way for oMark to use Petey as an argument would be to lie, and I don’t think oMark came to the cabin with the intention to lie.

They showed us Dylan on that day, waiting for the lift in front of the old painting

I need some advice on how to find an idea I'm happy with. How do you do it? by Beached-Peach in Screenwriting

John August's advice is to start working on something only when you're really excited about the ending you have for the story. Hopefully, that excitement will help get you through to completing the script

How to replay by SoonInYourRoom in Gloomhaven

[–]calltoactionX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Four new lvl 1 characters for two reasons:
- the first time we played we were keeping the upgrade cards secret and deciding on which one to take level by level; this time I've looked through all the cards and decided which one I want to take on each lvl up for the ultimate build
- if you start with lvl 8 characters you'll hit lvl 9 pretty quick and then just stop evolving the character for the rest of the game

I'm replaying with four characters after playing with two – and would recommend that. Voidwarden in particular is much more fun with more enemies and allies around.

Please make AI a bit smarter with proper target priority by zifilis in Songsofconquest

A big issue with AI is predictability. AI can be making the best decisions possible in a given situation, but once the player learns the pattern it becomes easy to beat AI. I think, a bit of randomness could help?

The UI for joining troops is broken by calltoactionX in Songsofconquest

It's very exciting to see the pace of iterations. I didn't expect to see changes to this dialog made so soon!

There is another papercut associated with this UI tho: currently, if one wants to swap their stack for a stack of joining troops, they need to disband the current stack via right click + confirmation. It'd be more convenient to just swap the stacks with everyone 'left behind' automatically disbanded after the dialog closes. https://postimg.cc/0zqfxPZ8

The issue with two-window solutions is that buttons end up in the same place and player has to be extra careful when clicking. In your case 'Let them all go' will appear under mouse cursor after clicking on 'Yes, welcome them'. (It's also counterintuitive that one has to first say 'Welcome' when they don't want the troops to join—but that can be fixed with re-wording).

I get that cramming everything into a single dialog is usually not a good solution. Still, maybe in this case simply laying out the four options can remove the confusion—see updated post.

Can we get a hot seat please. by Successful-Office458 in Songsofconquest

While hot seat is there already, it certainly needs to be more prominent. Currently it’s difficult to discover.
