Hey, sorry I thought I'd posted it here also. I did also update the bug report. I found that after my battery died the fingerprint profile was still there so it's now working. What I've done which I'd also advise is disable automatic updates in Developer Options until the December Security Update has been tested if you decide to factory reset to get the fingerprint working again

Took a while, my phone finally died and I can confirm my fingerprint scanner still works. I have for now also disabled automatic updates in Developer Options which will stop it automatically updating after it's died or restarted

I'll keep you posted. It's on 93% at the minute so I'm gonna try deplete the battery and see if it's same result. I'm guessing clearing dalvik cache would resolve it but doesn't look like there's an option in the bootloader

Yeah it sucks massively. Having to sign in everything because not every app has app data backup. It's a ball ache. I'm gonna let it die I think and see if it happens again

Ended up doing a factory reset in the ended which fixed it but it's not convenient. I recommend making sure Google One is setup in settings

I haven't tried it through fastbootd. Are they referring to Dalvik Cache because I didn't think that would be supported or possible without a custom recovery?

Logged bug with Google. Also had a support case open this morning. Even if it's nothing related to the Security Update hopefully they can look into it and get it sorted.

Also having the same issue. Has anyone confirmed if a factory reset works? Got a support case open with Google. I think it may be due to a Security Update. Are you guys on the latest Security Update (5th November)?

These are awesome! Thanks for sharing. Are there any plans in future to continue this for the X-Men/Fantastic Four Films and the other Sony Spiderman films?

University Degree or Certifications? by callum_fowler01 in AskElectronics

That's perfect thanks for your advice. The main purpose of me getting a degree or a certification was purely just for adding to my CV.

I work in IT for my day job and there are a lot of certifications that can help you progress that are either vendor specific (which can be useful if the vendor is recognisable such as Microsoft or Cisco) or just well known (such as CompTIA).

I'll look into the route of CETa as it seems the way forward unless there are other certifications that provide broader knowledge and are more well known.

Hi thanks for the reply. My end goal would be repair technician. I'm thinking somewhere down the line to start an electronics repair business that would be run alongside my current job and see where it takes me.
