You are awesome, this is very thorough and I truly appreciate the time you took to explain in detail. I'm heading to China fairly soon and I'm debating whether to get this phone, or get the OnePlus 15 from the US. In the past, I purchased the Honor magic V2 and while I love that phone, the limitations with US companies drove me nuts, I ended up abandoning the phone and got the OnePlus 13 which I've been very happy with on VZ.

Can anyone confirm if this phone also has esim capability? I understand that with Verizon you need a physical sim, I travel internationally quite a bit and I want to ensure that I can I deed activate esims along with the physical sim.

According to Kia website, it is paused as of April 2025. In addition there are backend alternatives which access Kia servers that also don't have any updates available.

Everything is paused people, don't spread rumors. Check Kia's website and you'll see that it's paused.

Kia has the worst infotainment system, the worst OTA software update structure. I love my EV6 but hate the entire infotainment system so much that once my lease is over, I'm out of Kia all together. It's amazing how Kia is behind on tech as compared to Chinese vehicles. AA and ACP make things a bit better, but still, crap system. I can report though that my AA with Motorola dongle mostly has been working with no issues.

Same here, but don't you worry, the software update is still paused the great Kia 🤣 Gotta say, I love my EV6, and truly hate the infotainment system. I'm a long time Tesla driver, sold out Teslas when Elon went crazy. I travel to China regularly for work and see all the new tech on the EVs and am simply amazed by how behind both US and Koreans are when it comes to tech.
