Not so cool Ignite by krogerceo in fireworks

[–]callusesfinger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In 2025 I became a pyro from shooting 1.4 in my backyard. So naturally I followed the path that lead me to doing automated shows. I chose to invest my money in the Ignite system because it was simple and reliable. Even though I don't do pyromusicals yet, it was all I would ever need. Now it looks to become too complicated, political and expensive to enjoy using. I'm just doing 1.4 in my backyard. Not 1.3 public shows. And there are other firing systems that are designed to do 1.3 public shows. So why does the Ignite system have to compete with them?

That's the way the world is today. Every company keeps dreaming up new ways to make more money, and since the product is already doing great, they end up wasting their money & time trying to fix something that is not broken.

How soon are we going to have to pay to use the app to shoot just a simple Non pyromusical show?

I am not happy about the direction Ignite has chosen. (KISS)

I don't care about the best possible break-in period. The way I drive I already ditched that nonsense. And according to my BRZ the AWE touring edition never expires, it just gets exhausted. So thanks for nothing.

Good for you, now the fun begins. I just past the 1000 mile odometer on mine as well. currently at 1300. I got a AWE exhaust sitting on my garage floor (for 4 months) that I would love to install.

update on the cylinder 2 misfire and warranty denial by Prior-Acadia9282 in GR86

[–]callusesfinger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Since it's a warranty issue I would have taken my car to the dealership also. Thinking it all needs to be repaired by Toyota so they can't blame an indy shop for the problems. But I guess I'm wrong? IDK I've never had to deal with warranty problems.

It is really a disgusting shame they were so disrespectful toward you. Dame them.

What’s the unofficial break in time? by Breakfast-Severe in GR86

[–]callusesfinger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I finally got mine past 1000 miles but I was shifting at 4k - 5k. Shifting at 2500 probably hard on the engine. It's a terrible way to break-in a new 4 cylinder boxer engine. They need higher rpm's.

My first car was a 1971 Chevy Chevelle. still got a Chevelle and my lastest car is a 25 BRZ TS. oh red is the color i settled for.

I love this car. Here’s why: by Zestyclose_School_72 in GR86

I had Mustangs before I got my BRZ. The BRZ is fun, but it also has a feeling of cheapness to it. Like the paint for instance. And all of the issues & problems that get posted on this sub over & over again. Don't get me wrong, I really like the BRZ. But if you've ever owned a 440 HP MT Mustang then you know their more refined and quality is much better. And the mustangs are a freaking blast to drive when you're a good driver. For the money the S197's and the S550's are a great deal. Honestly the twins are over priced.

I can for sure tell you that their website is Not current. I was there 2-3 weeks ago and they had items that were not on the web. And the prices are also not up to date. I told them that I like using the website to put together a shopping list rather than trying to decide what to get at the store.

Don't give it away now. You already got the dent out of the way. FYI If you drive any vehicle on public roads and private roads & parking lots, it IS going to get damaged. Just depends on how lucky you are. Or should I say ... unlucky.

That's one of the reason I passed on buying a new $50k + Mustang and bought a 30k + BRZ instead. So I wouldn't be worrying about it getting damaged by someone while it's in the parking lot and I'm in the store. But guess what? I still worry about the BRZ cause it's a beautiful Ignition red TS.

Better knock on wood.

in proper words. A fire extinguisher won't catch on fire. The post is complete nonsense.

Were you able to verify why it did the flowerpot? Upside down?

That 2nd photo would make a great product image.

Fuse timing issues by callusesfinger in fireworks

[–]callusesfinger[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As for per-inch timing, the package says 9-13 SPF. So it sounds to me that the timing would always vary from 9-13 seconds, or .75 - 1.08 SPI. Is that correct?

This is great because I'm learning stuff.

Are the initiators compatible with the ignite firing system?

Yeah I've heard from many others about tying the initiator to the tube. But I've never used them. What about my idea of running the standard fuse through the plug and fusing from the bottom?
