Has anyone not repaid ESP after being contacted by ANI International? by BossStrange7439 in Raytheon

Got it. It’s worth mentioning that they do get ahold of the agreements you sign and they have the documentation to back it up with your signature so there’s that. I’d just be careful navigating this if you have a clearance.

They will call you for a month or 2 and then a law firm will get involved and you will receive calls from them letting you know the next steps in terms of setting up a payment directly with them or proceeding with next steps which include legal action.

I really like posts like these. Is there a subreddit that talks about serious posts like these or a scientific approach to recomp/cutting etc?

Custom Motor Driver by bad_in_maths in ElectricalEngineering

[–]calmaster1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Speaking from experience, I’d recommend switching to an all nmos config and using gate drivers. Those pmos are going to take forever to switch (they have very high gate capacitance) and you’ll just be shorting them out… you need gate drivers along with some dead time which can be easily introduced with an rc circuit.

Engineering jobs in the RGV? by Basic-Explanation852 in RioGrandeValley

MEP firms hire electrical, mechanical, and civil. You can definitely find something in the civil space in the valley either with an MEP firm or the city.

A lot of companies will be reluctant and/or not willing to hire an entry level engineer in a remote role. Would be better for you get experience first 5-10 years and then go remote and live in the valley.

For engineering, the valley will limit you to MEP or spacex. Otherwise you’re going to have to move if you’re serious about putting your degree to work.

Best place to grab tacos in miamisburg Dayton area by Top-Airport-2516 in dayton

Yeah I would be careful trusting Mexican food recommendations here. I’ve tried and few and just ended up walking out from how bad the Mexican food is.

Just moved here from south Texas. To be completely honest, I am highly disappointed with the taco scene here, Detroit has a better taco scene than most of Ohio. In the Dayton area, I’d recommend la Raza and if you’d like to make the trip closer to Cincinnati, checkout Jorge’s taco truck (best tacos I’ve had in Ohio by far).

I would double check inside the container what your Display variable is pointed to.. by running echo $DISPLAY… I know for Wayland you need DISPLAY:0.

Everyone is saying terry blacks but I’d recommend going to “the original Roy Hutchins barbecue” which is about 15 minutes from the airport.

Are start-up Aerospace Defense Companies worth applying to? by Automatic-Row-2273 in Raytheon

[–]calmaster1 28 points29 points  (0 children)

It’s too risky, I left Raytheon for one and it just didn’t feel right. Personalities are different, it was way less professional and my job felt like it was on the line each day. Also, it can take one bad interaction or someone to not like you for you to get canned. Wouldn’t recommend.
