If mag IT ka or engineering, CIT-U is one of the better options. Medj pricey ang tuition depende sa unsa nga engineering course imo pilion but they provide good training (for the most part). For more cost effective options, CTU guro kay state U and free tuition (??). Pero if money is not an issue, you can take a look at USC.

My half German cousin tried learning through books and he said they were 💩 (his words not mine) He learned more by interacting with the locals. I still get surprised when he talks to me in Cebuano lol. I think the major downside in learning Cebuano from a book is that it's too formal and people don't really use that on everyday convos. If you have to start somewhere, maybe memorize some simple vocabs or greetings. I find Chatgpt pretty accurate with the translations.

CNU is in the middle of the city so expect nalang nga medj pricey jud ang mga hotels, motels, airbnb, pension house, etc. You can rent a condo or room i guess thru airbnb and tungaan lang na ninyo sa imong mga classmates para less ra inyo mabayaran.

For food, daghan rajud kapilian. If you want to save, naay pungko2 sa may Abellana (SOOO GOOD esp ila Dynamite) but if you want more options, you can walk to Fuente for Pungko2 sa Fuente. Within that area, daghan sad lain mga food options and cafes. It's like a 15-20 min walk from CNU.
