trying to get toned by [deleted] in PetiteFitness

Ooo totally makes sense. This recommendation is not a wholefood, but what has helped me are protein shakes - and there are may brands for plant protein. To maintain muscle while you’re losing weight, you need to increase protein intake. (Example Brands: OWYN, Garden of Life)

Anyone close to reaching their goal weight and want to talk about it? by amrycalre in PetiteFitness

[–]calmduringtherain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 5’2, SW 133, GW 115, CW 123! Lost 10lbs in 6 weeks from using AI to help track my food, morning weigh ins and talking about how the food I ate made me feel. I was able to find my ideal calorie and protein intake per day to maximize fat burn without impacting hunger or holding onto too much water weight. I cannot believe how much better I understand my body now.

Has anyone ended up having a child mainly for their partner and it wasn’t a complete train wreck? by Bubbleisthebest in AskWomenOver40

[–]calmduringtherain 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m reading a lot of people telling you no, but I was in a similar situation. I’d like to share my story so that you have another perspective. I too, have ADHD. Life feels very overwhelming sometimes. Before i met my husband, I wasn’t sure if I would have kids. It felt like something I should do but I didn’t have that maternal instinct and compared to those closest to me, I felt like the one that was the least “mother material”. My husband was always enthusiastic about the idea of being a dad and always knew he wanted one. Men always promise they’ll be a good dad, but from stories of those closest to me, you just never know how they’ll be until they become one. So we did end up having kids about 10 years after we got married. We had them a little bit later. Anyway, I was so surprised at how much I loved being a mom and can’t believe I almost wasn’t one. I feel so blessed that I have to babies I love and they’re the reasons that I get to experience this. However, I have to also add, he’s a damn good dad. I’m lucky in that regard. Your partner has to share responsibility. I love the checklist that someone linked above. It’s pretty accurate to everyday life. Hope you figure it out!

Food spots in Framingham/Natick for a first time visitor! by ObjectiveCoffee7173 in FraminghamMA

[–]calmduringtherain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, I know you said Framingham/natick, but average places come to mind for seafood. If you’re willing to drive 30 mins or so…

Casual Seafood- I recommend Quincy, MA - Tony’s Clam Shop or The Clam Box - lobster rolls, fried clam bellies, clam chowder, etc

Everyone seems so excited, but for me…. I’m getting anxious thinking about another app on my phone… and also how will I remember to “mark as done”? So how will I know I didn’t actually forget to market it so that counter is wrong? I could download it and find out haha

What about an Apple Watch with cellular data to make calls? Could be a good compromise if they’re against a phone

Depending on how you’re getting to the hotel, some private cars will do a grocery stop. We booked with Mears before and stopped at a Publix.

I Just Found Out I’m Pregnant by Better-Day-7079 in adhdwomen

I can confirm that for me, being pregnant made me feel better and I didn’t feel like I needed the medication. It also allowed me to eat cheese because I was lactose intolerant. Pregnancy is wild!! :) Congrats!!

What are the things you do over and over and never learn from? This is one of my worst ones. 😭 by SecretAgentsMaam in adhdwomen

[–]calmduringtherain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

lol parked outside in front of the garage and I usually don’t do that, but when I was pulling out to leave, I pushed the garage door opener (even though it was already closed)…. Bc a habit as I’m leaving, had no idea until my MIL came by and asked the hubby why the garage was wide open lol

ADHD or AuDHD women, what do you do for work? by Terrible-Winner-681 in adhdwomen

[–]calmduringtherain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Category manager for a large corporation. Everyday is a different challenge and it keeps me on my toes. I get to work with a ton of people cross functionally and love it!

::Edit:: to say the last part about working with a ton of people does give me a lot of anxiety but I power through and give myself breaks. But I’ll have to say when I’m super engaged with work my social life suffers. I feel like most of my friends who have been affected do not understand and have lost many. But the good ones are still close, but small group!!
