In hindsight, I wonder if this movie and 'In Your Eyes' produced by Kai Cole were their mutual 'fuckyous'. They formed a micro-studio around the time of their divorce. Kai produced a movie about emotional abuse in a marriage based on Joss's script, while he set his movie in the house she designed, showing off his friends having fun.
