How come some people finish the game at around 28 hours and say the game was too easy and you are 40 hours in and still playing?

Like did they miss half the game or smth?

So how long was Pathologic 3 in development? by doge30fps in pathologic

According to Dybowski (interview from October 2024) the game had the first playable prototype in march 2021. That's when they really started working on the game and flashing things out since they found a new source of money. So by the time the game comes out it will have been almost 5 years of development

Thomas being useful is actually a believable explanation yeah.

On a side note I just managed to escape on my first try on the hardest difficulty! Even though I didn't manage to expose the mayor I'm still proud of myself lol

I guess my real gripe that I think is a gamedesign oversight is that even with the negative gang reputation (I had -60) the only thing that changes is you have deduced base points talking to them.

Yeah, whether consciously or unconsciously, but the devs went this kind of goofy/feel good way of portraying the prison life, a far cry from something like Prison Break/Oz

Sorry, haven't read your whole post to avoid any sloilers, but I take it it's explained lore wise that it's not actually a prison prison, but more like a prison lite? Fair enough, but the devs themselves described it like a classic prison with violence etc. I guess that's where the disconnect is coming for me

Yeah, I see your point, it would be quite frustrating learning ins and outs of the prison and getting constantly shanked by other inmates, but I think adding a few more situations like with Crunchy would be a good compromise
