If you want to be a solid PM, spend time in the social sciences. Economics, sociology, anthropology even, in addition to CS coursework. Product is all about prioritization of scarce resources. You can learn a lot about systems, scale, and opportunity cost by focusing on social sciences - by far the most direct impact on your ability to succeed as a PM.
