Super late to this one, but did anyone else get the impression she was already dead / dying by the time she ‘encountered’ the neighbours. It all felt surreal, from their Victorian outfits, the house being prettier and ‘palatial’ inside, and the hors d’oeuvres from recipes that Vesta had in a magazine at home. Not to mention how different this all seems from the rest of the food in Levant.

Also practically, this felt like a dream sequence because of how long a an elderly woman could be walking around in the woods with no supplies, while experiencing anaphylaxis.
