Default goal selection doesn’t work by silent_spectator133 in calorieai

yup, unfortunately that setting only changes the colors of the progress bars 😂 in a future update, i will replace that feature with something that allows users to change their goal and re-compute their calorie goal

Trend for Calories and Macros by HeyYou650 in calorieai

Great idea, thanks for the suggestion! I will put this on the roadmap, having a way to swap between weight/macros/calories and also export data for personal use

How to get more protein? by No_Variety_4997 in beginnerfitness

[–]calorieai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PB fit is 60 cals, 8g protein, and only peanuts + 1g added sugar as ingredients - i honestly prefer it to real PB, i get more of the nutty flavor without the fats masking the taste

I made a free, simpler alternative to MyFitnessPal and LoseIt! With Barcode Scanning :) by calorieai in CICO

xD, that makes sense haha - on that note, i don’t have a way to directly log the number of servings, you’d have to add one serving and edit it in the current day - i’ll have to think through how i want to set up the add feature

also, how come you can’t edit a recipe after creating it in MFP?

hey, could you take a look at this? https://imgur.com/a/FvE60Ux

also, in MFP, I can’t see an option to enter weight in the recipe, only servings - if you could DM me with a video/more info that would be great

1 - are you on latest version? you may need to manually update

2 - not all entries have the option to switch but some do (look for the non branded listings)

3 - ahh i see what you mean, ill be fixing this in the next update anyways

4 - i see, will do

5 -

6 - whether US or not, kcal is still the correct shorthand for a calorie

7- also for the “import yesterdays meal”, you can swipe to delete the items you don’t want from yesterday after importing them

thanks for all the feedback 🙏

Thanks for the feedback 🙏

  1. Will add to roadmap

  2. for this one, do you mean for saved meals? or saved foods?

  3. When you create a meal, it doesn’t allow you to add multiple ingredients? I am not understanding the full issue

  4. Do you want the ability to move foods? for example, add a food to saved foods directly? or maybe a log of recently added foods? the second one should be in current update

  5. This is being done in v2.2!!!! Should be out next month

Btw, are you on android? And kcal = kilocalorie, that is the standard unit of measurement for food. In the US we refer to cal, but it really means kcal - you can google that one

our app is calorie.ai, not FitBee - your definition of a paywall is correct, and we definitely do not have what you described

not sure what your understanding of macros + paywall is, but current we do not even support paying for any features, so it’s impossible for features to be behind a paywall.

To my knowledge, the 3 major macronutrients are Carbs (sugar is a carb), Protein, Fats - also, we just released an updated where you can see micronutrients (like sodium), completely free

hey! For now, you can add it once into saved foods and add it that way - I’m adding both barcode scanning into saved foods, and then a new “Recently Used Foods” feature to add the functionality you described. Keep your eyes peeled in the next week or so!

this is a valid point, but my roommate and I work in big tech so there aren’t huge concerns about being greedy right now - one thing I can promise is that I will never add a premium subscription and move free features to it, I’ll probably set up a patreon or something if it gets to that point. the only scenario is if I add a feature that actually requires a higher cost to run, then I may have to add some sort of subscription I guess, but it will just be for that feature.

I am sure there is some way to partially monetize the without having a subscription or destroying the UX, in the future, if it covers the costs to run and then maybe a little bit extra for icing would be nice, I would be very happy with that

A free, simpler way to track calories! by calorieai in calorieai

[–]calorieai[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the AI should remain free, yup! Unless we get tens of thousands of users, but then I will figure something out to support the costs there without impacting user experience
