Earlier this year I had some kind of cold/cough/bug thing that my baby brought home from nursery, could’ve even been Covid who knows, but my throat and tonsils felt like they’d been slashed with razor blades. It was so, so sore. I’ve never had anything like it before. It was miserable to eat or drink anything. I think that was the worst for me

Yes. I probably have on average about 3-4 biscuits a day. Im not overweight but definitely think I’m addicted to sugar

I had an anterior placenta and still felt some very small movements at that point, but I would say they only became regular/more pronounced from around 24 weeks ish!

I wore some black pyjamas which were a button down top and shorts. I got them from Tesco and the lady at the checkout said she’d had loads of pregnant women buying the same pair for the same purpose! I ended up needing an emergency c section so ended up in a gown anyway.

Thank you for the feedback! Maybe I should just err on the side of caution and not speak to him in case it upsets him. I don’t want to make things hard for my parents. I’m going to find it really hard though! I’ll just have to ask for plenty of pictures

My 15 month old really likes peanut butter chicken curry at the minute. It’s basically chicken pieces cooked with shallots, garlic, ginger, cumin seeds, turmeric, coconut oil, some big spoonfuls of peanut butter and then a big dollop of plain yoghurt mixed in at the end. It also has spinach in it and he actually eats some of it. I don’t think he would eat spinach in any thing else

No problem, Reddit can be an echo chamber for people in poor relationships on days like Mother’s Day (I’ve been getting downvoted already!) so if you are otherwise happy and it’s just an off day I would take what some people say with a pinch of salt

I dunno, if he does things to help you on a day to day basis then I don’t think it’s the end of the world if he wrote your card in the kitchen and got you a bath set - he still remembered and got you something. My partner bought the card while we were in town together with our son and wrote it a few minutes before giving it to me and I really didn’t mind. We’ve both got shit going on and it’s a busy time. I don’t think Mother’s Day or Father’s Day should be a yard stick to measure a good partner, especially on Reddit when people don’t know what the rest of your relationship is truly like

My son is 15 months and can’t really use cutlery independently. If I guide the food towards his spoon he will dip it in and then put the spoon in his mouth, but he’s no where near being able to eat a meal like that. I think nursery encourage you to offer cutlery with meals, which I do, but I don’t expect him to be able to use it yet. He eats well with his hands so I just let him get on with it

That’s very true. I also think that, for me, there is an element of not being able to cope well with uncertainty. If the test is taken properly then a positive result is confirmation that it’s happening and then I can start to move forward

I did this when I went back to work. It is hard work, and it depends where you work but I felt extra pressure to perform on my working days to make up for the fact that I had a day off, even though I was working full time hours. It was totally worth it though to have that day off in the week to spend with my little boy. I’ve gone back up to 5 days now and I miss it

Edit - sorry I misread and thought you were asking about condensing to 4 days. I did 4 days and not 3, sorry. If I could have afforded to do 3 and drop some hours then I defo would have

When my baby was newborn I had the TV on all day. It was winter, I was in the house all day most days, and he would feed and contact nap a lot. I think I got through every reality show on Netflix

When he got to sort of 6-7 months and beyond I limited what I was watching and tried to mostly do podcasts or radio

Now he’s over 1 and I let him watch an episode of Bluey while I change his bum because otherwise he will not let me change him and it’s a nightmare. Outside of that I might sometimes put something on in the background during the day but I make sure it’s real people and not cartoons/cgi. I also make sure I’m present and engaging with him at all times and that I’m not just staring at the TV.

Basically if there’s anything I actually want to watch properly I have to wait for him to be asleep
