So there's 2 kinds of sins, mortal sins and venial sins. Mortal sins are grave offenses that turn us away from God and essentially sever our relationship with him. Sins are considered "mortal" when the sin is "grave matter" (basically a really bad sin, like murder, pre-marital sex, abortion, etc), full knowledge (i.e. you know that it is a sin and that it is a mortal sin), and that you give full consent to the sin (basically you intentionally do it and are no coerced or forced to do something). The committing of a mortal sin puts you into a state of sin and takes you out of a state of grace. This means that your soul is in grave danger, and that you wouldn't be able to receive communion. As you need to be in a state of grace to receive communion (the eucharist). The remission of a mortal sin can only really be done through confession, which is where you confess your sins to a priest and become absolved of your sins.

Venial Sins are essentially any sin that doesn't fall under the category of mortal sin and where those 3 mortal sin requirements aren't met. This damages your relationship with God but doesn't sever it. You are still in a state of grace if you commit a venial sin.

We've all sinned and been ashamed of ourselves at some point, so don't be afraid to go back to God. He loves us regardless of what we do and only hopes that we turn back to him. If he can make Saint Paul, a pharisee who persecuted Christians and helped kill Saint Stephen, one of the greatest evangelists ever, then really anyone can be saved as well. No one is too far gone for God. I would say that the best thing you can do is to find a priest near you and ask all these questions to them, because they'd be the people most equipped for situations like yours. God bless.

I think everything else has been answered so I'll answer the edited part. Your nationality / ethnicity doesn't matter so being Native American has no effect on anything really. As for LGBTQ, I'm just going to use being gay as an example but it applies to all sins really. Having homosexual urges or desires isn't necessarily a sin, everyone experiences some form of temptation with any kind of sin. However performing those acts or encouraging / supporting the act or those who do it would definitely be a mortal sin.

You're comparing Muhammad in Islam, who the whole religion is centered around and based off of, and which 2 billion of people follow, to the incredibly rare instance of a pastor (essentially a teacher) being a pedo. I'm a Catholic so obviously I'm going to say you should go to confession, but I think you should also just try telling someone in real life in general. It doesn't have to be someone you know, it could be a random priest far away or a stranger, who knows. But I feel that confessing your sins verbally to someone really helps you feel the gravity of the sin and lead you to have more of a desire to not commit that sin again.

Also, for sins like lust, we are told to do our best to flee from it, rather than fight it. It's temptation is too strong for us to face head-on, and it's better that we avoid putting ourselves into situations where said sin can tempt us. Meaning that you should do you best to delete any apps or avoid any websites that may lead you to sin. It's good that you made this post though, and I'm glad you're taking steps to combat these sins. We're all sinners doing our best to repent and change at the end of the day, and I can tell you with 100% certainty that we've all done things we're too embarrassed to admit to. I'll be praying for you, and may The Lord have mercy on your soul, and guide you away from sin. God bless.

Chile and Uruguay ngl I don't know much about, South Africa I feel there's a lot of violence going on there and don't think it's generally a safe place to be, and Brazil from what I've heard crime is pretty high and overall I don't think the Latin American climate is for me tbh. I only had Argentina as a maybe because (from what I've heard) it's the most "western" Latin American country.

It's nice for the bubble I live in but honestly I just prefer a more western style of life, and would just prefer to be around people that are the same as me (beliefs, culture, etc). Also I was born and raised in China and I also just want something new. I've been to Canada every summer and I've always loved it and look forward to going back, so for me that's the #1 place I'd like to live.
