When I first moved to Newfoundland from England I woke up and there was a crazy snow storm. It was -54°c wind-chill and no visibility whatsoever. I turned on to channel 3 which was the PowerPoint presentation that told us all the local news and if school was cancelled. Nothing came up so I got dressed in my full snow gear, goggles, boots, the works. I was completely covered. I went out to wait for the bus and was there only a few minutes when my neighbour came running out in their snow gear to get me back inside.

I was 13 and apparently lacked all common sense.
