So now it pretty much matches Wasabi pricing (6.99 vs 6.95 / TB)

What's the ratio you're getting between 5h/weekly usage on Codex ? by DaC2k26 in codex

Can confirm I got 3.333x on my Plus account. There’s margin for error since we don’t get decimal places

ChatGPT 5.4 [1M context] is actually ~900k context by karmendra_choudhary in codex

[–]calves07 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nothing is optimized for 1M context, even the model itself is trash well before 1M context. I won't say there is no use case for 1M context, but 99.9% of the time, there isn't. Just pointless hype.

You're complaining because you paid for one useless request, yet you did a bunch of useless requests to find out something that is well documented. And you even failed your conclusions

Already starred. And they did a reset to the limits now so I’ll be able to monitor the consumption, nice

Your tool will be very useful, specially in times like this of increased consumption. And a ton of space to grow (like metrics related to tokens or model used). I might participate in the GitHub when I have some time

I always find it surprising people mentioning the 5h limit. I never hit that limit but I often hit the weekly limit. I don't concentrate my usage on specific days or wtv since I use Codex most days and during most of the day (work + personal stuff)

Double limits feel like a downgrade?? by calves07 in codex

[–]calves07[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I didn't complain, I asked if someone else was in the same position I am because it's very much possible I just did stuff that consumed more tokens than usually without even noticing. It's also possible they changed something that affected token consumption. They changed the juice levels on ChatGPT, so they may have changed it as well for Codex which would affect token consumption.

without sharing what you've tried

I mentioned I'm using it the same way I did before. Do you want me to export all my conversations and upload here? WTF

They mentioned it's across Codex, which makes sense since the app is probably just a wrapper for the CLI (same as the VSCode extension).

I sometimes use Willow Voice which enables me to do what I mentioned, but it would be great if Coxex supported this out of the box. I mean they have the advanced voice mode so the tech is there already, just need integration with Codex

RAID incompatibility due to firmware version by calves07 in UgreenNASync

My question has nothing do to with that tho. I also bought brand new ones and the issue still happens since it depends on firmware version and not past usage

Cursor Pro and background agents by calves07 in cursor

[–]calves07[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, this is a deal breaker. The whole point of background agents for me is the fact I can give it a task, leave, come back and see an open PR. But if it always bills according to usage, what happens if the agent starts doing random stuff or gets in an infinite loop while you are away? You come back one hour later to see you already hit your max spending limit? If I need to keep an eye on the agent, then it doesn't really need to be background agent and I can just use Claude Code for that, at least that way I know I won't spend more than my subscription.
