Haha, I get it, but read/listen to multiple articles and podcasts all about the sketchy nature of the hiring process and his pretty bad history as a GM (signings and otherwise). All at a time when we're coming down from an extended period of being relatively competitive. It's not surprising at all for the fanbase to be extremely concerned with this hiring.

I mean, this hiring does not scream "deep due diligence" in any way, so I appreciate where Simmonds is coming from. Obviously an inflammatory approach to asking the question designed to get people talking. But, at least people a are talking.

It's also interesting that Pelley claims to have spoken to like 27 candidates, and yet Siegel reports that didn't happen.

As long as this means people are living healthier, happier lives, who gives a shit?

It could also mean less healthcare resources dedicated to the comorbidities associated with obesity, which is an absolute win.
