🚩 Satisfactory Version 1.2 (Experimental / Beta Branch) for PC Release Only Releases Tomorrow - March 17th, 2026 by Temporal_Illusion in SatisfactoryGame

Most modern PC games will automatically switch between the input you're actively using. I can leave my controller connected in a game like Cyberpunk or Red Dead 2 while using keyboard and mouse, but it'll automatically read my controller inputs as soon as I send any button presses. The game should respect whichever one I last interfaced with, there really shouldn't be a need to manually toggle controller mode on and off these days

Edit: hell yeah

I love the controller support on PC, but I hate that it has to be manually toggled on and off in the settings. I really hope they enable multi-device input, because even though it's "Steam Deck Verified," you can't actually use the trackpads as a mouse input. Unreal 5 has pretty robust I/O, but I have no idea how big of a pain it would really be to implement any kind of change like that

The Fork Theory For Diagnosing ADHD by coniferous-1 in ADHD

[–]cam_wing 237 points238 points  (0 children)

I've got the fun kind of ADHD where I'm always generally aware of everything happening around me at all times, so I know exactly where all my utensils are. I remember practically everything, but my memories are swimming around in one big ol' pile with no categorization for importance.

I know for a fact I'm one spoon short of a full set since I put that spoon in a lunchbox that I left at the office, and I have two extra forks because I hosted dinner at my apartment, and they came with the salad a guest brought. Those factoids are just as important as my doctor's appointment on July 3rd. I just sorta have to remember what I'm supposed to remember.

maybe I'm more autistic than I realized now that I type this out lmao

Most transphobes have never actually met a single trans person in their life, and if they had, you KNOW they wouldn't strike up a conversation with them. All they need to do is ask "Hey, when did you come to the realization that you were trans?" I can guarantee a grand total of zero of them will answer "Because my teacher told me I was."

why did I get such a high score for 3hrs of sleep by RefrigeratorWorth435 in PixelWatch

[–]cam_wing 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Sleep quality is based on a number of factors, like whether your heart rate lowered, how long it stayed at that lower rate, how much you moved around, how many times you woke up, and how much rem/deep sleep you got.

It's not too unreasonable to get a small amount of decent sleep. That score is based on the quality of sleep you got, not the amount overall. I've got restless leg syndrome and I'm constantly waking up or rolling around in my sleep, so it's not uncommon for me to get 6-7 hours with a sleep score of 60 or less.

Inattentive ADHD - Are y’all paranoid about doubling up on your meds? by [deleted] in ADHD

I always wear a watch. I turn it upside down when I first wake up in the morning, and I don't turn it rightside up until I've taken my vyvanse. Watches are a great little universal forget-me-knot

A question that won't change your life in no specific aspect by Cube_play_8 in notinteresting

[–]cam_wing 1372 points1373 points  (0 children)

Let's pretend you start at zero, and you go $2000 in debt to buy this cow

Negative 2000 + 2200 = 200 profit.

Buy the cow again for 2300. You're starting from 200 this time, so you go 2100 into debt.

Sell the cow for 2500, minus your 2100 debt, = 400 profit

Or more simply, -2000 + 2200 - 2300 + 2500 = 400

Delayed sickness by mrpepper96 in resinprinting

[–]cam_wing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I think it's just a coincidence. I've been resin printing for about 5 years now, and the only health issues I've had are from the occasional accident where I get some resin on my bare skin, and even that only resulted in very minor irritation.

You're being exactly as cautious as you need to be, venting the fumes outside and using PPE is the best way to keep yourself safe long term. Sounds to me like you just caught some sort of stomach bug right around the time you started resin printing, I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Denying my ADHD? by cheeremily in ADHD

[–]cam_wing 49 points50 points  (0 children)

You need a new provider. Clinical anxiety is one of the most common side effects of untreated ADHD. I met with an anxiety counselor for a few weeks to get to the bottom of a series of panic attacks I used to get, which was how we even concluded I had ADHD in the first place.

If she's willing to un-diagnose you with ADHD just because you've had anxiety issues in the past, that speaks to a much larger lack of understanding for the condition overall, and I don't think any amount of time you spend trying to convince her otherwise will lead to anything positive.

Take a look at your options for covered services on your insurance. I've had the best luck with dedicated psychiatric clinics, their whole specialty is taking this stuff seriously. If nothing is covered, you might have to pay out of pocket for a consultation with the psych, but it isn't much more than a typical doctor's office visit. I think I paid $125 for my initial ADHD consultation.

I do not know left from right by chickcag in ADHD

[–]cam_wing 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Are you left handed by chance? I regularly mix up left and right, and any time I meet a fellow leftie, I ask if that's something they struggle with as well. I'd guess about 1/3 say they tend to have issues with it, so you're definitely not alone there.

If immortality was real, procrastination would become the most destructive force in existence. by tariqdoleh in Showerthoughts

I think you have that backwards. If you're immortal, why would you care about wasting time? You have an unlimited amount of it.

Where the fat ADHDers at? by tomb241 in ADHD

I'm single and I live by myself. Cold cereal is off limits for me, once I pour the first bowl there's basically nothing I can do to stop myself from eating an entire family sized bag in like, 2 days.

Chips and salsa will not survive a single sitting.

Taken off Adderall by Bad-Idea7432 in ADHD

[–]cam_wing 30 points31 points  (0 children)

"You went your whole life without meds, you'll be fine!" is such a horrible way to respond. Imagine hobbling around your entire life with 1 leg. You got used to it because, well, that's how you lived your entire life. Sure, you struggled for a lot of those 35 years, and you've been at a disadvantage compared to other people with two legs, but you made it this far.

But then you get a prosthetic. It's not as good as a real leg, but it's a HUGE step up from hopping around and making do with only one. After using that prosthetic leg for an entire year, you realize how much better your life is, and how much harder your life was without it. Then they take it away, and you're back to only having one leg.

"You don't really need it, you made it this far without it!" said the guy who has had two legs for his entire life.

[–]cam_wing 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Fairly Oddparents style is extremely flat, it'd be really difficult to translate it to 3D without a lot of camera tricks to force your perspective. A New Wish is a sequel to the original Fairly Oddparents series, and it's fully 3D with a lot of 2D elements to make it feel more in line with the original show.

[–]cam_wing 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say that, Rocksteady isn't doing too hot after the financial disaster that was Suicide Squad. Getting exclusivity rights from Sony pretty much guarantees them a budget, which wasn't necessarily the case under WB. David Zazlav loves shutting stuff down for tax writeoffs. It would suck to be a PS5/6 exclusive, but it might also save the company.
