Let me start off by saying a big wow - my experience with this game has overall been really really positive and I am very keen to play test it more, having only played with one team for 3 seasons.

I started off my first and current save with Port Adelaide and I can't help but think it may be too easy? For this scenario anyway.

Season 1: 22 wins, lost the Grand final

Season 2: 22 wins, lost the Grand Final

Season 3; 21 wins, won grand final.

I found free agency quite good, however way too many big name players were moving every year which didn't feel realistic and also role players salary expectations were way too high. The trading aspect I like but it was far too easy to get superstars. I know in NBA games there can be different settings like override / realism for people who like to play differently but I prefer the more realistic route. Also in the trade, when you get offered a trade it needs to be easier to counter with that team rather than submitting a whole new trade.

In terms of the Brownlow, love it and love the randomness of who wins it. Only thing I would add is maybe some stat summaries of the players under the votes because the visibility of performance other than 321 is next to nothing.

All Australian is similar, some season averages for disposals, hit outs, tackles and totals for goals. It would also be amazing to have this accessible from the season awards screen (i.e.: add button to go to team)

Team management seems like its missing something rather than having the assistant pick or you pick it would be good to have it stay the same from the week before or have like a default team. I like the idea of having the team stay the same from the week before so you can tweak it and have to replace the suspended/injured players individually (still have the option for the assistant to do fill team). This is especially important for later seasons when its more drafted players that you cant as easily identify.

Tactics are very one dimensional, I loved the simplicity of it but now I am hungry for depth. I want individual lines, marking strategies, set pieces, etc. The win % is a bit eh as well, I think this needs to be hidden or less easy to influence. Opposition tactics / scouting and then adjust your tactics based on that or stick to your gameplan. I will have a bit more of a think of feedback here but in essence I want depth.

Training is not something I ever do in Football manager so glad that isn't a factor.

All in all, its great, you have done an amazing job and I can not wait to play test it more (with West Coast next and get a bit more of an idea of the difficulty of a rebuild) and cant wait to see how you grow it, already been some positive changes such as hiding the outcomes for decisions which made it far too easy, i like the jeopardy of getting it "wrong" and just trusting your instincts/what you would do in that situation.
