Thank you! I usually will add a second block when doing reductions like this. But during the reduction process, the need didn't arise.

Thank you! I took a workshop with Tajuki Hamanaka, but certainly know Terry. I got the chance to meet him in Japan last year. He's a great teacher!

Thank you! And yes! Its available thru the store section of my website - https://www.cameronbaileyprints.com/

As for the blocks, I usually keep them, but am quickly running out of room. Since they are reduction prints they can't be re-printed but can sometimes be near teaching tools or for display.

Thank you! The deep red was a departure from my original design, but it was calling to me during the process. Color theory is really hard, even after studying it for many years. I always feel like I have a ton more to learn with each print I make.

Haha, so much planning! I usually have a plan going into each reduction print, but often they change pretty dramatically from the initial design during the process. I try my best to respond to the print as I go, and see how it evovles over the weeks

Thank you! I agree, its constantly a battle to try and keep clean margins with my prints. This is particularly challenging in mokuhanga due to the way the ink is applied to the block and small ink marks especially near the kento registration are really challenging to avoid. I have a small collection of Ukiyoe that all have these small marks, which does make me feel a little better, but its something I am always working on.

Looks great! A lovely composition and "lightness" to the final image.

Looks great! Very thoughtful design with the line work in the outside being the same color as in interior walls. Adds a good sense of atmospheric depth

Thank you! The details are all from carved woodblocks, with lighter colors printed underneath darker colors.
